24.01.2022 Destiny with her heifer calf born on Wednesday. This is the first heifer calf Destiny has had in the 5 years I have owned her. Ironic that she should give me what I have been waiting for when she is for sale.

24.01.2022 Blue, Pepper, Fergie and Shally have moved to a life of luxury on the Gold Coast. They were pretty happy to see all the green grass.

24.01.2022 A bull calf to Shallimah this morning. Storm last night and it has turned really cold this morning. Nothing like unsettled weather conditions to bring on calving. Mother and son are doing well.

22.01.2022 It was great to have Phil from Holstein Australia here on Wednesday classifying five of the girls. I was very pleased with the results. Especially with Grace and Nia. Grace at 14 went from Very Good 86 to Very Good 88. Nia a first time calver achieved Good + 83. Nia will improve with future calvings. Overall a very informative session with Phil. Pictured are Grace and Miss Lilly who went Very Good 85

Two thirds with Little Milkyway Pagan in the 6 to under 12 months female class and Blade in the steer class. Not a bad day out with showing 5 animals and coming home with 5 ribbons. Photo is Ris in the steer class. Pleasing to see a short leg steer given recognition for their meat yield potential in a steer class.

12.01.2022 It was pretty exciting for the calves getting out on the oats paddock this week.

12.01.2022 A new daughter for Lilly born this morning on Lillys due date. Also the second year in a row Lilly has had a daughter on Yeoval show day. This calf is another daughter for Barney and full sister to Nia.

12.01.2022 Grace is the last to calve for this year and finished Spring calving with another bull calf. A little shorty boy who is super cute and very tiny.

12.01.2022 Pearl calved yesterday. With an udder like that she won't have any trouble feeding the new baby.

11.01.2022 Pepper was very well behaved yesterday waiting patiently to be loaded for the trip to his new home on the Gold Coast.

11.01.2022 Fantastic people helping the struggling farmers.

11.01.2022 My little orphan girl, Roxy, is going well. Maggie still wont feed her unless she is in a head bale but Roxy is getting a good feed of milk 3 times a day with Maggie restrained in the bale.

10.01.2022 These 2 idiots seem to think lying in their dinner is a good idea. They wont be getting anything else if they ruin it.

10.01.2022 Ruby Princess was born 10 days ago. She is a sassy little heifer who will be for sale in Autumn when she is weaned and halter trained.

09.01.2022 The last of the Autumn babies (a bit late) born last night to Maggie. A rather large bull calf. Mother and son are both doing well

09.01.2022 Got home and saw what I thought was smoke. I couldnt understand because there really is nothing to burn in the paddocks. Not smoke, just Laird Blue doing his best to send all the soil to the neighbours

09.01.2022 This little fellow was born on Wednesday to Splitters Creek Noni (registration pending) by Splitters Creek Mac (registration pending). He looks like a potential candidate as a stud bull.

07.01.2022 I am so impressed with Maggie, she has gone from the reluctant foster mum to the local milk bar. This evening she had her own calf on the left, Roxy the foster calf on the right and Riley who is supposed to be weaning getting a feed from behind.

06.01.2022 Neo is behaving like he has a halter on and gets tied up every day of his life.

06.01.2022 Great prizes raffled for a good cause. Buying hay for primary producers. The drought is still going after 3 years and paddocks are dirt. If anybody would like tickets in this great raffle let me know.

04.01.2022 Pouring rain today. I reckon we have had at least 30 mms so far and still raining. These calves have a water proof shelter about 10 metres from where they are standing but prefer to stay in rain.

04.01.2022 Love the serious look on this little bull calf.

03.01.2022 If you havent got your tickets get them now. The meat tray will be drawn and delivered this afternoon for the Friday night B-B-Q and the week-end roast

02.01.2022 Roxy has worked out to get a feed from behind when Maggies own calf is feeding from the side. Maggie isnt happy about it but at least Roxy is getting good feeds without me having to intervene.
