25.01.2022 Next Stop. 2017 Modeste Cotes du Roussillon rouge A blend of 60% Grenache and 20% Syrah and 20% Cinsault made in a fresh bright slurpable style with strawberry and rose garden aromatics and pale colour yet packed with flavour and freshness and finesse. So pretty and engaging with lovely depth and texture and could be slightly chilled for best effect.... Crafted to be a fresh, easy-drinking red, the "Modeste" is light to medium-bodied, with ripe scents and flavors of black cherries, silky tannins and a crisp finish. Winery Facts: Le Clos des Fées is relatively new in the wine world, beginning in 1998, when Herve and Claudine settled in Vingrau, on the high cool slopes of the northern edge of Roussillon. Herve recognised the quality potential of the cool high sites of these magnificent limestone based vineyards sitting well above the valley floors where most producers work in easier and more fertile soils... 25.01.2022 Its time to ride! @letourdefrance The Mader domaine is a very small quantity, high quality wine producer based in the picture postcard village of Hunawihr in the middle of vineyards on the Route des Vins. The family own 9 hectares of vineyards, including prized holdings of vines in the famous Rosacker Grand Cru vineyard and also now in the Grand cru Schl0ssberg. All vineyard work is carried out by hand and since 2005 their son Jerome is now running the estate havin...g studied and gained a Diploma in Oenology. Since returning to the family estate Jerome has also converted all their vineyards to bio-dynamic viticulture. Made from a blend of 60% Auxerrois and 40% Pinot blanc. Fine, racy and floral. Classic white flower and citric aromas lead to a crisp and refreshing palate. Red wines from Bordeaux are medium- to full-bodied with aromas of black currant, plums, and earthy notes of wet gravel or pencil lead. When you taste the wines, they burst with mineral and fruit notes that lead into prickly, savoury, mouth drying tannins. The t...annins are often high enough that wines will age for several decades.
