25.01.2022 I have been trying really hard to stay productive in this time, Im still doing commercial packages for my clients from home which is great and Im so happy I can still do this and try help them with their businesses. I have a COVID-TO-DO-LIST It might seem a little distasteful, but I am not trying to be, I really do what to come out of such a horrible time with some positive things achieved. This is a time to acknowledge the hard stuff and also respect what we already have ...and the fact that we have the opportunity to do so. So with that in mind I have the below list.... Do up my outdoor area Set up basketball hoop Clean and declutter Edit all Europe photos Print our wedding album and photos (1.5 years later) create travel books of our trips Potty train the puppy Teach myself Latte art and try some different photographing styles while doing it Its nice to get some of these things done and also nice to enjoy the little things that you would normally say "I want to do ...." Now is the time to do it. What is on your list? Let me know below and I might add it to mine

25.01.2022 LOOK NEW SHIRTS! Events have been a real reality lately, we love it. But sometimes I find I get a weird side eye look of "Who's that chick stalking me from behind the door?" *As seen in the photo* ... Firstly, I'm quirky.... not weird. Secondly, it allows me to have something in the foreground and builds visual interest...... and it also means I can get a nice and candid shot because nobody expects to look for a chick lurking behind the door lol. So shirts were an obvious choice, breathable (because hedland summer) professional looking (because we are) comfy (because we deserve it) And what better way to do this but to have them locally embroidered by the lovely Sharon @kean2sew I gave her about 3 days notice, ( I don't encourage this and I thought I would try my luck, you should give her more warning). I think they look great and was so happy with how they turned out. If you need uniforms give her a call or message

25.01.2022 How incredibly lucky are we as a community and as creatives in this small town to have the support, talent and programs that are run by The Junction Co. Pretty swift camera work by the legends at AB Videography Great job to everyone involved

25.01.2022 Happy Easter Sit down, have a coffee, eat some chocolate, have some hot cross buns for breakfast, then go for a walk. Obviously I have some specific plans for today, and the walk will probably be a little slower than usual after all of the food, but thats ok, back to normality as much as possible tomorrow :) ... And no, I absolutely didnt bake those hot cross buns, they are the Brioche ones from Coles. I can recommend.

24.01.2022 Lets keep supporting our small local businesss guys, the next 6 months are going to be a bit weird for all of us. Also, dont forget, when Im photographing you Im not normally within a metre so it wont be a problem If you are a small business online content is even more important than its ever been! A social media subscription with me to keep you on peoples fees and your clients up to date could make all the difference.

24.01.2022 YOU THE REAL MVP Bringing on someone to help me grow this year wasn't an easy decision. There were many things to consider. Could I give them consistent hours?... Could I trust them to work with my clients? Would I enjoy working with them? Could I find someone qualified and capable? Basically, could I find a unicorn sprinkled with fairy dust in a mining town? But not glitter, not anywhere near me thank you I'm happy to tell you that yes..... yes I bloody could. And I did! OOhhhhhhh did I! The support and friendship Nur has shown me in the last 6 months is something I can't thank her enough for. But you can! 23.01.2022 Yep....... Christmas is coming. Today I am left feeling somewhat fragile, two Christmas parties in one weekend will do that to you lol.... It was fun, they were great. I stole a portable phone battery from a 5 year old..... Wait, let me explain that. So it was a secret Santa situation, but you could steal a gift instead of unwrapping your own. But honestly, what is a 5 year old going to do with a portable battery! He doesn't have a phone! I stand firm in my decision. I think his dad was more annoyed and was wanting it lol. So the Christmas content is starting to be rolled out to all of our clients and their social media pages. Keep an eye out for gifts and services that can be purchased from small local businesses. It really does make a huge difference, not to mention you can avoid that impending dread of the old rural postal anxiety that the gifts won't arrive in time lol. 22.01.2022 We are sooooo proud of Lisa and how she spoke on behalf of her Kangaroo Family. We have recently taken on Lisas Kangaroo Retreat INC on as a pro-bono client along with Alissa @RIVITdesign and Nur at Fempowered Communications. Lisa and her husband have been working hard the last 10 years and need as much help as we can give them, we will be working on photos, social media posts, and website updates. They need volunteers and funding and have recently received some grants but every little bit helps. Have a watch of the video, she can explain it better than I can

16.01.2022 We have had a lot to deal with as business owners in 2020. That is why when lot's of small business's come together and work on projects in regional areas it really is amazing what can be done. These images were of an architectural shoot I did for the talented Jenni at hurleyarchitecture.com.au... This is the Civic Centre which has had a bit of a spruce up. As mentioned above Jenni from Hurley Architecture did the design with MJW Building who did the renovations to a beautiful standard. It was so great to attend the Business of the Year Awards recently where not only did the building get to show its pretty new self to the public, but it allowed for many business owners to come together, celebrate and most of all support each other. It really is such a great community to photograph and be proud to be a part of.

My weekends are unpredictable - I could be working, I could be binge watching season 9 of suits mourning the fact that "Rachel" is actually ex Royal Highness Megan it really has made the plot less interesting but Im committed. I digress.... I could be out and about with Dane and friends, no two weekends are ever the same! But I guess thats the life of a small business owner, especially if you work in the creative field. Events happen when they happen. What I wouldnt give to be spending a weekend in Japan, sipping a matcha next to the ski slopes....... not actually doing it myself, we have talked about that before. Dont you remember? It didnt work out well! But how lucky are we with all the freedom we currently have here in WA?! Have you been out camping this season?"

14.01.2022 Meet Nur from @fempoweredcommunications This lovely lady has really saved my butt the last few months. I know, I know, it should never have taken me this long to not only introduce her, but to acknowledge everything she has been helping me with. The list is literally too long, and I want to break it all down over a few posts. It cant be covered in just one, and the things she is qualified in and good at deserve for me to take time. Both for our benefit and for yours bec...ause the services that will be coming your way from us are getting bigger and better. Having someone to talk to within the business is invaluable, and she is now invaluable and a very treasured part of the Locket Creations team. 14.01.2022 Food photography is my passion and I jump at any opportunity to photograph it, even if its just my morning snack or what I like to call 1st breakfast 2nd breakfast comes after and so on and so on lol. I love most food not just breakfast......can you tell? Theres probably a direct correlation there I should probably learn how to do it better lol. Did you know Ive photographed two cookbooks? The Sweet Life (New Holland Publishers) and The Corleone Family Cookbook (Insigh...t Editions). This image isnt from either of the books, its a hot cross bun from Coles (*The fancy ones though) And a coffee that I made from Brevin (*My Breville machine) My dream is to eventually spend my days photographing food & cafes because that is my natural habitat and I may as well kill two (metaphorical) birds with one stone. I had the joy of working with Tanya at Empire6714 in Karratha who was rejigging her website during the COVID period. I will be drip feeding some of those images over the next few weeks. Sometimes I pinch myself that all of the hard work over the last 10 years has paid off. It doesnt matter if you are given an opportunity, you still have to run with it and make it your own afterwards with a long term plan. Helping businesses of all kinds and then sometimes photographing food = my happy place.

12.01.2022 Big Friday Energy right here! Hip hip hooray, it's the end of the week and at Locket Creations we're celebrating! Today is the 1 week count down to the grand opening of The Bungalow on Edgar, and I'm excited to be moving in as one of the tenants. It is going to be so much fun sharing this space with other local businesses such as In the Mix, Ginger Fox and Cake Candy by Ambre, and I'm already imagining all the creativity that will be flowing from that space....... and Friday... night wines Cheers to new beginnings!

12.01.2022 I have worked so hard to try and make sure I work with and for small businesses that have the vibe, ethos and morals that lift others up and cheer each other on when they have success. I don’t know how I would have done this year without Nur, and hopefully you can tell with how much I have started including her as part of the team....... because she is. She makes me better at my job, she always gives value, she always gives support and she is so god damned good at what she d...oes. If you are a client of mine then you know what I’m talking about. Congratulations Nur, I can’t wait to see what comes next!

12.01.2022 Going somewhere new can be daunting, if you dont know what its like or what to expect sometimes thats all it takes for you not to go ahead. My aim is to help both the customers and the owners of the businesss I work with to get rid of any misconceptions or concerns and to make everyone as comfortable as possible. That can be as simple as showing the inside of a space, the business doesnt have to worry about the client being unfamiliar and the client walks in knowing what ...to expect so you can both just get on with what you are there to do. Simple really. This is the inside of Caras treatment room at @country_chiro in Carramar Perth. Its clean, its spacious and it has more than enough room for her to treat you. She also has clinics in South Hedland and Newman. So basically if you travel for work a lot she has you covered. This is just one example of how amazing our businesss are in the Pilbara. Its my job to show you all.

Rufus Scrimgeour, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 ,2010. Now I know if we can maintain some perspective this quote isnt completely relevant. Our world has been through a lot in its day, but this one does stin...g a little. But we have incredible technology which allows us to keep communicating with each other which has never been as important as it is right now. Up here in Port Hedland we havent had any diagnosed with "he who must not be named" (sticking with the Harry Potter references here, if you know you know) but we are still feeling more isolated than usual. I for one couldnt get back to my family even if my life depended on it, because I would then be threatening theirs. 09.01.2022 Zimi is here now! How content and happy do these guys look knowing they were about to have the biggest adventure ever. I was lucky enough to photograph their engagement shoot which was also an adventure (A running theme with them) we went to an island where they got engaged, slept in swags, went fishing, and found the best locations for their shoot. ... The maternity was no different, but it was a little closer to home and not over night Who knew this location was in Hedland?! Not me! All you need is a 4WD and shares in a midgie spray company because let me tell you......... sunset at this spot was a free for all on this kiwis ankles, arms, face, pretty much everywhere It was totally worth it though, it was the BEST shoot. Thanks for always having me with you to capture these moments, congrats on little Zimi, she's a delight. See more

09.01.2022 How amazing are these ladies!!! Claire, Michelle and Bec do so much amazing work for us small business peeps and never more than the last month. They adapted, they created and they kept in touch, the online zoom chats and info events they put on were invaluable and went a loooong way to helping us all feel connected. ... If I havent said it yet, thank you for what you do, it does make a huge difference and doesnt go unnoticed. Keep an eye out as I will have some pretty great stuff coming that will help show all of the different things they do for our community. Sanitiser is just one of them

07.01.2022 "Noooooo Thank youuuuu Sophia" The cookie concept Sophia has started a beautiful little business called The Cookie Concept, little cookies for all of your events, parties and just because. It was so great to do some commercial food photography again, I cant wait to do some more with her as her little venture takes off in a massive way. Sophia launched the business with a easter decorating pack where she provided the cookies and all the stuff so families can decorate them tog...ether. Its ideas like that that will help us get through this situation with our sanity. So thanks Sophia, the cookies are delicious....... and I would know

06.01.2022 TODAY IS THE DAY Locket Photography is now.... LOCKET CREATIONS... I am so proud of what we have achieved in the last 9 years in the Pilbara Region and I have no doubt that the next 9 will be just as epic. The thank-yous will be coming in thick and fast next week so prepare yourselves.... (*I will not cry, I will not cry*)......spoiler alert..... Im probably going to cry all week Time to catch my breath, set up the new space at @thebungalowonedgar and get to work on all the incredible small businesss and events in this town. 06.01.2022 Slowing the pace a little for a Saturday. This is Mel, she is one of my closest friends and I spent a week with her in Perth after having her, Rob and brother Bears little legend Obi. Im at the age where everyone is popping out little people (Im aware from doing birth photography its not as easy as I make it sound lol) ... I think my favourite thing about this is that there is more of her to love now, never will I speak to her without asking after him, I get to watch as one of the strongest people I have ever known raises, teaches and loves a new best friend for me for the rest of my life. Thanks Mel, I appreciate you sharing him with us, bring on the years of giggles, cuddles and that beautiful day when he understands and then appreciates my dark and sarcastic humour like you do Look out world because hes coming for you if your ready or not

06.01.2022 Zac wasnt this eager at the start of the shoot, sometimes it takes time for the little ones to get familiar with whats going on and realise its ok. Telling them it is doesnt do anything if they dont feel it too. And I think thats a good thing, if you have kids, and they seem standoffish at the beginning please let them be so. They have unbiased boundaries and we need to respect them for it, god knows we all have them to so why shouldnt they. If you have a shy little one... it can help by bringing them to the pre-consult, that way when we get to the shoot Im a little less of a stranger to them. By the end of the shoot we are normally the best of mates, but I dont like to push them. My long term goal is for them not to be camera shy and to understand the importance of documenting themselves in a truthful and caring way, so that they can show their kids how they were when they were little like we can show them. The digital age has changed a lot of things compared to when we were little. True character cant (in my opinion) be shown in a selfie and character portraits are important for them and for you to have.

06.01.2022 Shoutout to my husband, Dane, the real MVP in my business, who has stuck by me through thick and thin, is always happy to lend an ear and a shoulder when things go wrong, and is always there to celebrate my wins and successes with me. Its been two years since we said I Do and there has been no regrets since (phew!). Thank you Dane for being my best friend, I love you like Henata loves Naruto, I find you weird but I like people like that. ... Yes, I had to google the Naruto reference, but I think it will go a long to impressing him. For the rest of us, think of it as how much Jim loves Pam (The Office) if you dont know them then I calmy and kindly ask you to leave my page Basically what Im saying is I appreciate you a lot Dane, I couldnt be prouder to be Mrs Tyzzer.

05.01.2022 Happy Saturday everyone, So this is a thing, my house is messy, my hair is filled with dry shampoo, my fridge is empty.... And all because I have experienced support from Local Businesses and Organisations like never before. ... This town truely is something special and I am just so thankful that I get to be a part of it. Until I can get a handle on what is going on I am going to have to hold off on any new bookings. Exciting things are headed Lockets way and I need to make sure I maintain my standard of work and care that I give to each client. 02.01.2022 Food photography is my passion and I jump at any opportunity to photograph it, even if it's just my morning snack or what I like to call 1st breakfast 2nd breakfast comes after and so on and so on lol. I love most food not just breakfast......can you tell? There's probably a direct correlation there I should probably learn how to do it better lol. Did you know I've photographed two cookbooks? The Sweet Life (New Holland Publishers) and The Corleone Family Cookbook (Insigh...t Editions). This image isn't from either of the books, it's a hot cross bun from Coles (*The fancy ones though) And a coffee that I made from Brevin (*My Breville machine) My dream is to eventually spend my days photographing food & cafe's because that is my natural habitat and I may as well kill two (metaphorical) birds with one stone. I had the joy of working with Tanya at Empire6714 in Karratha who was rejigging her website during the COVID period. I will be drip feeding some of those images over the next few weeks. Sometimes I pinch myself that all of the hard work over the last 10 years has paid off. It doesn't matter if you are given an opportunity, you still have to run with it and make it your own afterwards with a long term plan. Helping businesses of all kinds and then sometimes photographing food = my happy place.

01.01.2022 We have had a lot to deal with as business owners in 2020. That is why when lot's of small business's come together and work on projects in regional areas it really is amazing what can be done. These images were of an architectural shoot I did for the talented Jenni at hurleyarchitecture.com.au... This is the Civic Centre which has had a bit of a spruce up. As mentioned above Jenni from Hurley Architecture did the design with MJW Building who did the renovations to a beautiful standard. It was so great to attend the Business of the Year Awards recently where not only did the building get to show its pretty new self to the public, but it allowed for many business owners to come together, celebrate and most of all support each other. It really is such a great community to photograph and be proud to be a part of. See more

01.01.2022 Theres no rest for the wicked! Ive been quiet on socials lately as its been a very busy period for me. Locket Photography has been expanding and evolving, and things are coming together which is soooo exciting with a side plate of intense, worth it, and a long time coming all mixed in with a dash of caffination and mixed in with the fact that I now have grey hair . Ill be making some announcements about the business soon, so grab a cookie from The cookie concept, a cup of tea (lets be honest, its coffee or wine) and watch this space (A literal hint )

01.01.2022 Big Friday Energy right here! Hip hip hooray, its the end of the week and at Locket Creations were celebrating! Today is the 1 week count down to the grand opening of The Bungalow on Edgar, and Im excited to be moving in as one of the tenants. It is going to be so much fun sharing this space with other local businesses such as In the Mix, Ginger Fox and Cake Candy by Ambre, and Im already imagining all the creativity that will be flowing from that space....... and Friday... night wines Cheers to new beginnings!
