11.01.2022 Director Loredo Malcolm owner of LOcREaDO Dance Company and LOcREaDO Dance program will be giving away $100 per Month for the next 10 months to a Student/Training Dancer under 17 years old. Why? We have seen the struggle our industry has faced since March, the immediate change to students having to learn via Zoom, the challenges they face to try and figure out if the teacher is using their right hand or left hand, Internet difficulties, dancing in unusual spaces, trying to f...ind the inspiration to get through the classes everyday not having any energy or other dancers around them. Teachers also have the challenge when they teach online and in general, but as teachers we know this is our job and we get through it because we love what we do but we are also being paid. Students on the other hand don't get compensated for training and that is understandable as to why they don't need to be when they are learning. So Loredo Malcolm has decided to give back something little to one dancer every month. $100 which will allow them to pay for a week of classes. Classes range from $10 up per class, so the $100 giveaway will allow that dancer to do Multiple classes and will allow them to pay for those classes on their own. (Giving the parents a little financial break) How do Loredo select the dancer each month? Social Media has now become one of the main platforms for dancers, so Loredo will go through different instagram accounts, see how much dance content from classes dancers post, see how they keep occupied in the dance community and how passionate they are, and every month for the next 10 Months Loredo will award and show some appreciation to one dancer who he thinks really keeps pushing through and staying engaged to their goals. This will be Australia wide. Loredo has chosen a Dancer for the month of November who will receive the very first $100 dancer giveaway.
