24.01.2022 This Saturday one of our athletes, Katrina Clark will be taking on The Aussie Throwdown finals in the gym. Due to the most recent Covid-19 restrictions unfortunately this weekends scheduled final in Ballarat VIC has now been adjusted so that athletes can take part head to head from their home gyms spread all throughout Australia. So, from 9am Saturday 16th January we’d love it if we can get Triney the cheer squad together she deserves. She will have to complete 6 back to ...back workouts inside of a 75 minute window. If you can’t make it for the entirety we’re certain she’d be stoked if you can drop in at any stage after 9am to wish her well. If you can’t make it then please give her a shout out on this post so she knows she has the whole community behind her! Qualification for this event is an unreal achievement and knowing you have a support network behind you just makes you push that little bit harder Congratulations must also go out to another one of our athletes who qualified but will unfortunately be unable to compete Tegan Rodgers - you guys have put in the work and the results certainly show! Let’s get it Trine ** PLEASE NOTE that the 8am class WILL still go ahead

03.01.2022 115 minutes of hell.... Come and show your support!!! For what will be one of the most brutal days @katrinaclark15 will ever have! Images show the 6 workouts Katrina will be completing this morning. ... I small number of Our Athletes have competed in this event in Melbourne and Sydney over the last 4 years. All would agree the competitions have been extremely tough leaving all beaten up and needing alot of well earned rest with the events spread out over 2 complete days. @katrinaclark15 will be doing this amount of work in just a scheduled 115 minute window to work in with the live event in Victoria.

01.01.2022 Important read - @squat_university saying it perfectly! People love to dismiss what they do not understand. To an outsider of the ‘iron game’ (which unfortunately includes many in today’s medical society) lifting heavy appears dangerous. Quite the opposite! . When performed with optimal technique & appropriate loads, lifting can be THE BEST method to help us maintain functional strength & the movement capabilities we want/need for the rest of our lives. ... . I’m not saying with this post that everyone needs to become a world class powerlifter and deadlift a house every week. But building the strength to pick up a heavy weight from the ground with good technique (aka while maintaining a stiffened) back shows you have the capacity to handle LIFE. Picking up a child from the ground or a box in your garage all of a sudden is WELL within your means. The ability to deadlift heavy (relative to your abilities) is therefore a buffer for life & gives you the opportunity to handle stress & keep going. . So the next time someone says deadlifting is bad for your back... kindly tell them they’re wrong & not having the ability to deadlift is much worse. . Tag a friend below that needs to hear this today. See more
