Black people don't get to pretend these issues don't exist, they live with racism and the fear of the repercussions of racism every day. So I will not hesitate to use my privilege or the platform of my social media, including my business to stand against racism. #BLM

15.01.2022 I don’t know if I ever updated but Lily never wound up staying with us. She needed another dog in the family and we just couldn’t add another to our family. My youngest suggested chickens so here we go! Meet Licorice, Lollipop, Snapnap and Dream (I hope they all made the photos, one day I’ll be able to tell them apart.) they are ex battery ladies, 18mo and they have settled in beautifully.

14.01.2022 Year 7 food tech in my home. My eldest did a wonderful job making dinner for us last night. I think I'm starting to slowly get the hang of this isolation business. How is everyone else coping? I felt like there was this immense pressure on my shoulders on top of being a solo momma of high needs kids, and in my mind there was! The kids are struggling with adapting to school from home and it doesn't help that I don't understand it either. I am so used to the Mac operating ...system and trying to use Windows again is like learning a new language coupled with the fact I have no idea how to use the schools system or how to upload completed work. The hardest hit for the kids is their social network, it surrounded around going to school, they don't have phone numbers or social media like I do. My solution to all of this in the last few days is to worry less. The school work although important can be taken at a slower pace, now is the time to focus on connection as a family, how lucky are we to have this opportunity? As families grow it is so easy to go off and do your own thing with the freedom of not having to do everything for a fully dependant baby or toddler, guilty! I am grateful for this opportunity to try and reconnect without all the pressure of rushing to and from school and extracurricular activities and appointments. 13.01.2022 I hope everyone is keeping well this lockdown, I thought I would pop on and make a post to do a check in on all you wonderful people. As per the first lockdown, I have chosen not to take on sessions. I couldn't live with myself if I was asymptotic and passed this horrible virus onto anyone else, and given my autoimmune issues I am in a higher risk category as well. I am looking forward to the day I can see all my beautiful clients again and create amazing images. But for now, pick up your phones and put them on time-lapse and capture the beautiful ordinary <3

12.01.2022 Lately every day has felt like it was the weekend, but today felt different. It was relaxed, happy and full of promise. I took time to reflect on how lucky we are to have the freedom fought so hard for by many Australian citizens ancestors over a hundred years ago. It makes me feel truly grateful for what we have today <3
