24.01.2022 New Lambton Masonic Centre St James Road New Lambton, Newcastle N.S.W. Open day 9th November 2109

23.01.2022 I have many friends all around the world.

22.01.2022 Biennial Fraternal Visit From Lodge Benjamin Pryor No.709 At the conclusion of the business portion of Lodge Enterprise’s meeting, the Wor. Master, Wor. Bro. Philip Holden invited visiting Masons to enter the lodge room. Many entered individually and were cordially welcomed. After a knock was sounded, the Director of Ceremonies of Lodge Benjamin Pryor No.709 entered and announced that the Acting Wor. Master, Wor. Bro. Darryl Hayes was at the door of the Lodge, accompanied ...by a good number (18) of officers and members, and requested entry. Wor. Bro. Holden gave the Fraternal a hearty welcome and invited Wor. Bro. Hayes to occupy the Chair of King Solomon, to carry out the work of the evening, that being the Passing to the Second Degree of their candidate, Bro. Christopher Plewright. Bro. Plewright was an excellent candidate and the degree work was carried out in a very professional manner. After the ceremony was completed and the lodge reopened, in the First Degree, Wor. Bro. Hayes returned the gavel of the lodge to Wor. Bro. Holden. Both Worshipful Masters agreed on the merits of keeping this Biennial Fraternal visitation continuing into the future. All present then ventured to the South to partake of the excellent evening meal provided. See more

The Most Wise Sovereign, V\Ill\Bro Ted Oldfield 330 thanked him for the presentation which proved ...quite enlightening for those present. 18.01.2022 Lodge Enterprise No.400 Christmas Party The dining room (South) was filled to its capacity at the Christmas Party of Lodge Enterprise No.400 on Monday night 16th December, 2019. It has been a long time since this lodge has hosted an event so large with seventy members, ladies and non-masons present to enjoy the festive occasion. After the singing of Christmas carols in the lodge room, Rt. Wor. Bro. Dick Bell and Rt. Wor. Bro. Bruce Bell were presented with thei...r Seventy Year Membership certificates by the Wor. Master of Lodge Enterprise, Wor. Bro. Phil Holden. Both brothers were initiated on the same night in Lodge Ferndale No. 400 on 7th December, 1949. Not many 70 Year membership certificates are presented, but to have two brothers from the one family receive them on the same night is very special indeed. All then moved to the dining room to enjoy an excellent Christmas meal before Bro. Santa Claus and his two ‘helpers’ arrived with bagpipe accompaniment, bringing pudding for all and gifts for the children. Two charity cheques totalling $2,200+ were also presented to Jenny's Place; one from Lodge Enterprise, presented by our Worshipful Master and one from the Masonic Motorcycle Association of Australia, present by Bro. Gary Duff the president of the Masonic Motorcycle Association of Australia. Jenny's Place Inc. is a domestic violence refuge and their spokesperson thanked both organisations for their support which will be used to provide school uniforms to the children of domestic violence victims. 16.01.2022 Enterprise No.400 September 2020 meeting: As we all know, lodge meetings have been cancelled since March this year due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak in Australia. In NSW we have been working towards reopening our lodges in a Covid-19 safe environment for the last couple of months. Grand Lodge has, using the NSW Government guidelines, developed a 3 step plan for Masonic Centres and lodges to reopen. We have, as building owners, developed a Covid-19 safety plan for the New Lam...bton Masonic Centre and a Covid-19 safety plan for Lodge Enterprise. These have been accepted by the NSW Government and GL, and we have been declared Covid-19 safe. GL gave us permission to reopen our Lodge early in September so we were able to plan our September meeting in accordance with our Covid-19 safety plans. Using the 4 square metre rule, the South can accommodate a maximum of 25 people so we requested all members and visitors to register their intention to attend with the Secretary in order to ensure we met this rule and brethren were not turned away on the night. All seating in the South and the Lodge Room was set up to ensure the 1.5 metre spacing. This arrangement will have to be used for future meetings while ever the spacing rules apply. The meeting was opened on time and we had 22 brethren in attendance. The business included a ballot for a MAS candidate and the presentation of a 50 yr Long Service Certificate to Bro. Roland Millbank PGDM. Two special Appreciation Certificates on behalf of Lodge Enterprise were presented to VW Bro. Brian Stephens PDGIW and Bro. Paul Harden for their ongoing support of the Lodge above and beyond expectations. The ceremonial work of the evening was a Lodge of Sorrow. Since the previous Lodge meeting we have lost two long term active members: RW Bro. Richard Bell PGJW (70 yrs membership) and Wor. Bro. Kelvin Huggins (50yrs). As we had not had a chance to pay them the usual respect (without a Lodge meeting) the Lodge of Sorrow ceremonial was a more than suitable way to honour their many years of active membership. The meeting was followed by a catered meal in the south provided by Teresa and the Covid-19 safety plan was followed without fuss. All in attendance agreed that the night was a successful welcome back to lodge.. See more

05.01.2022 Lachlan Macquarie Chapter of Improvement By VIllBro David Padgett 330 The Lachlan Macquarie Chapter of Improvement was consecrated in Orange on 10 November 2001 to serve members of Region 6, of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite for Australia which extends from the Hawksbury to the Queensland border and Western NSW. It was formed to work the Intermediate Degrees from the Fourth to Eighteenth inclusive, the ceremony of Enthronement of the Most Wise Sover...eign of the Eighteenth Degree, the Nineteenth to Twenty Ninth inclusive, the Thirtieth Degree and the ceremony of the Installation of the Grand Commander of the Thirtieth Degree. The Chapter has been named after Governor Lachlan Macquarie, who presided over the Colony of New South Wales from 1810 until 1821. He was a prominent mason. In June 2017, I accepted the role of Preceptor and became only its third Preceptor. This involves the organisation and responsibility of the Chapter. I also decided that where possible I would attend these meetings. It would also allow Gail and myself to visit the towns throughout the Region. The past few weeks have been quite busy. On Saturday 28 September we travelled to Bathurst where an exposition of the Twentieth Degree was conducted in conjunction with Western Sovereign Council Next on 19 October we travelled to Orange where the Districts of Central Western Plains and Mid-Western Plains combined for an exposition of the Fifth Degree in conjunction with Ophir Sovereign Chapter. As Armidale Sovereign Chapter had requested an exposition of the Seventeenth Degree for the 26 October, we decided that we would not return home but instead explore a bit of the Western part of the State as we had not previously seen this area. After travelling through Dubbo, we drove north to Lightning Ridge then across to Armidale, visiting towns along the way. It was sad to observe the devastation of the country by the drought. See more
