17.01.2022 Microphone care and a healthy environment. I always make a habit of keeping all of my equipment clean and serviced and one of the most important items in my stage arsenal is the Microphones used for Vocal use. I cannot stress enough on how to clean and always disinfect ALL of your mics. I usually try to encourage known live bands and performers to bring their own vocal mics (If they have them) at these times of CV, as any professional vocalist should have their own instrum...ent its a bit of a personal item in the music industry and has been for many years. Todays times especially with the fears of the Corona Virus if you are doing a live event that is in the stated conditions of human body gatherings of no more than 100 persons MAX at this stage consider others sharing a mic and constantly wipe and spray disinfect and when not in use on a platform between change of users cover the mics with a fresh disposable sterile medical cloth. These are simple steps to take whether it be a wedding , small speakers function or a live performance or in any studio/rehearsal room application that is still within the current guidelines, or even in your own private use. We now have a 4x5 metre heavy duty black Marquee with full sides and back to be used for any open air events as a stage cover, this goes perfect with the small 3x3 we use for the mixing desk and gear out front so Its the little things that make a show look and sound better with care and pride

10.01.2022 Finally got another digital mixing console that was obtained as a backup mixer, the new 16ch Mackie iPad mixer DL1608 is probably going to now be used more than the main desk.

09.01.2022 A huge thankyou to Thiago Andrade who kindly gave me his time to assist me in a full system individual EQ setting for both sides full FOH and 5 aux sends for monitors everything set in a full stage surrounding and once my magic touch was put in place it was only quite a short time to graph adjust each and the final result was absolutely awesome. Thiago was proud to mention that he had only heard live sound as clear crisp and still packed heaps of punch as good as this only a few times. Thanks again my brother and im glad you also learned a few neat tricks, gotta love digital applications.
