08.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE! We have fundraised $6,551 for our charities Welcoming Australia and Aussieghana Relief! This has been an incredible experience a...nd we are so excited for Cultural Night 2020! Half of these funds will be used for running Welcoming Australia, a support network and space for people of refugee backgrounds and newly arrived migrants to Adelaide. The other half will be used for purchasing resources to build Ghana’s first women’s shelter, protecting women and families from domestic violence. 08.01.2022 We are so thrilled to announce that we will be collaborating with the amazing Susanne Harris of Days for Girls to make, pack and send 400 sanitary care kits to ...girls in Ghana. We will share the date for the packing day soon as many people have expressed interest in helping us with this incredible project. In the meantime if anyone would like to collect things for us we would love: Face washers (cheapest from Spotlight or Ikea) not white. Small new hand soaps (motel size) New ladies cotton underpants size 10 to largest) not white, preferably darker colours. Large clear plastic bags from Costco (Photo of the box is at the end of this post if anyone has a membership and is keen to help us with a box or two) Money is also wonderful as each kit costs $15. I’m setting up a separate fundraising link for this project, or you can donate at the PayPal link above, as we don’t pay fees with this method. Happy days with Days for Girls!!
