10.01.2022 This term in Drama the Year 9’s have been studying basic acting skills and applying those skills to scripts. The Year 11’s have been exploring more challenging acting skills in the Realism style producing short scenes from ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ and ‘A Doll’s House’. Next term we’ll be studying film making and producing a short play. In Semester 2 our seniors are undertaking a community exhibition project a Fright Night Halloween Maze. They have to design, construct and... act in a Halloween immersive experience for the community. The Drama in Practice class have been lucky enough to interview Production Designer Owen Patterson (The Matrix, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Godzilla vs Kong) and ask about his creative process. This will be a time intensive project - if you have any wooden pallets, plastic sheeting (or anything else you think may be useful!) please contact the school as we’ve already started collecting materials! You do not need to wear a mask when you are eating and drinking , driving your own private vehicle or when doing strenuous exercise (exercises that make you out of breath) It is strongly recommended you wear a mask outdoors if you are unable to stay more than 1.5m distance from other people, such as busy walkways and thoroughfares.
