25.01.2022 Our NEW WORLD LEARNING started this week with the successful start of our online learning. I’d like to thank all of our students who willingly and ably took it upon themselves to learn how to install the software and get started at such short notice this week. Thank you. We did it! The feedback from the lessons was very positive and enjoyed by all who took part. It also gave parents in isolation with their families an opportunity to sit in and without anything else going on, ...to relax and understand the learning process of their children. A WIN, WIN all ‘round. Although we’d planned to start our online learning platform at the start of this year it was delayed due to building works needing planning and other urgent administration tasks that had to take precedence. Over the coming months the platform will be upgraded, added to and fine tuned as needed. During these tough times for all of us, dare I say ... always look on the bright side of life. 16.01.2022 Further to my last post I found an interesting chart from the PM Scot Morrison with regards to why social distancing matters and the numbers of infected people with and without social distancing.... here it is... different times and different ways of best dealing with things.

11.01.2022 Yahooooo! Term 2 has kicked off well. Everyone now has their Skype connection working well (except for one) and from all feedback are enjoying the socially isolated learning online. Well maybe not as much as being there in person but it’s still fun! I’m enjoying seeing some of the students maximising their time and taking a big leap in progress over this past couple of weeks, so we’ll done! 03.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS UPDATE: In line with the Victorian Government’s ending of Term 1, 2020 early, on Tuesday this week instead of Friday as was planned, our LMS school term will also end early, BUT on Thursday this week as was discussed with everyone last week. EXCEPTIONS: IF YOU FEEL SICK, HAVE A FEVER OR HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE TO THE CORONA VIRUS YOU ARE EXPECTED NOT TO ATTEND AND ADVISE ME IMMEDIATELY.... ALL students WILL be able to continue lessons within our NEW and SPECIALISED online learning environment, including the all important one-on-one guitar, bass guitar and singing (vocal) lessons. And of course we’ll be open for new students who have the facilities to get online and join us from their homes. IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS OR QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL ME, BRIAN ON 0490-365 185 ANYTIME. 01.01.2022 After using Skype for the first month of online lessons I started using Zoom on Thursday with very good success. So whether you have Skype or Zoom we can do the lessons online. The most important thing to note here is that you must have excellent lighting on you from the front. For example daylight is best so anything close to that will be great. Anything less and the picture gets more and more grainy. Just something we‘ve noticed this past month. Also your bandwidth plays a big part.
