24.01.2022 Enjoyed a great catch up with Emma Montgomery this week. So great to see an event like Weengallon Pink Ladies Day find new life now with Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and go on to bigger and better things. There are so many wonderful volunteers in our community and our events calendar in one of our strongest assets. How we continue to promote and highlight these events in the future as a reason to visit the region is key. I look forward to attending a new look Talwood Ladies Day later this year!

23.01.2022 A great catch up with the Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce recently and the lovely new Executive Officier, Louise Carroll. 22.01.2022 Great day yesterday in Inglewood catching up with Eric N Ann McGlashan who wears the SES hat as well as many other roles for the region. So interesting to hear of the issues we face with getting more volunteers around the SES. Certainly a big call out now to get more volunteers from Goondiwindi on board. If you’re interested please contact, Ann for more details. [email protected] Additionally - they’ve just announced another ‘meet the candidates’ night in Inglewood. ...Details . Please join us and I look forward to discussing issues such as these and more. Mon 16 March, 6pm, Inglewood Civic Centre

17.01.2022 Busy weekend, yesterday we mustered cattle at Dandaraga Nth. Then I headed to the Inglewood Show to check before meeting at the waterpark in GOONDIWINDI to discuss weed eradication. No rest for the wicked!

10.01.2022 Thoroughly enjoyed my catch up with Jay Schulte of Border Tyres & Batteries in GOONDIWINDI. These local businesses are so important to our region and have been incredibly resilient over the last few years. Now more than ever, in times of good and bad, ‘support local’ is key to driving our local economy and something I feel very passionate about. I urge everyone and all businesses to source local first and give our guys a go! Goondiwindi Region Goondiwindi Regional Council Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce

09.01.2022 And just like that tickets go on sale for the new Talwood Pink Ladies day in ONE WEEK from today! What a great partnership with local business The Diamond Hunter as gold sponsor for this years event. Check out this great video of the local Talwood, Queensland, Australia region. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zVdIZqWJiac

03.01.2022 Happy International Women's day! Thank you Esme Cairns and the team at GTT for hosting an insightful and forward thinking breakfast with Dr. Sherilyn Lennon. It was a well supported event with Dr. Lennon addressing family violence in the home and preventative measures for the future. 01.01.2022 Busy week at the NCHA Australia National Finals in Toowoomba. I currently sit on the NCHA board as the Chairman of Major Shows & Finance and as such play a large role in overseeing major events and liaising with the media to promote our sport. Last night it was great to see our sponsors and special guests Toowoomba Regional Council and catch up with Mayor Paul Antonio and Deputy Mayor, Cr Carol Taylor for the evening! It's a busy time of year at the moment and the councils continued support of this event is most appreciated. I believe it's so important we continue to nurture Goondiwindi Regional Councils relationship with Toowoomba and Region. There's so many wonderful and progressive initiatives being driven by their local council and maintaining communication to leverage events and drive industry is key.
