24.01.2022 From today, anyone entering or working at our Apollo Bay (Otway Health) or Lorne campus (Lorne Community Hospital) will be required to wear a surgical mask (supplied by us). This change is necessary to keep our aged care residents, staff and community safe during the pandemic. To ensure we follow all Government guidelines and keep our community safe, we need to adapt a few new policies. These include: * You will continue to make your appointment by phoning Otway Health reception on 5237 8500 or Lorne Medical Centre on 5289 433. * A few minutes before your appointment time, please remain in your vehicle and call the reception staff to let them know you h...ave arrived. The Physiotherapist will come outside to your vehicle, take your temperature and ask some simple screening questions. You will then be escorted to the physiotherapists consultation room. **Please note that if you are feeling unwell, you need to cancel your appointment. Should you fail the temperature check or screening questions, you will be provided with the opportunity to attend Urgent Care for a more detailed assessment and/or swab if required. Thank you for understanding our need to make these changes, to continue to keep everyone in our community safe and supported.

22.01.2022 The Lorne Medical Centre would like to welcome Osteopath Dr Georgina Sayer and say a sad farewell to Kristy Kirkman. Since then she has been involved in lecturing at the same course she graduated from, as well as previously running a successful Osteopathic practice in Brunswick, before moving permanently to Anglesea. Georgina has also completed a 2 year Graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic, as well as a Certificate IV in tertiary teaching and is qualified in dry needling treatments.



21.01.2022 The Lorne Medical Centre flu vaccine for patients 65 and over is running low BUT we have more on order. We appreciate that people are keen to have the flu vaccine and we highly encourage this. However, due to the low supply, we are only booking existing practice patients at present. We are more than happy to take your details and will contact you when further vaccines arrive. PLEASE be patient, we will have enough vaccines for all age groups but supply will be staggered. The 2020 influenza vaccines are fully funded (free) through the National Immunisation Program for all people aged 65 and over.

16.01.2022 The Lorne Medical Centre will be running flu vaccine clinics for the next two weeks. Please call reception on 5289 4333 to book an appointment and see if you qualify for a funded immunisation (under the National Immunisation Program). Our staff will also talk you through the consultation process when you book. Please note you MUST be booked into this clinic and all other medical questions will require a separate appointment.
