25.01.2022 I began teaching yoga in the Tibetan Buddhist center I lived in 2 decades ago. It was, as has always been, something that was to benefit the meditation practice.... It's 2 decades later now and I am still teaching yoga with the same intention, as a practice that leads to meditation. Other teachers ask me: "what is your theme for your workshop? etc" It's a weird question. I always give a similar answer: "I think I'll teach them 'yoga', or whatever we need to do to arrive in meditation. So pranayama will help. Then some poses before that will help the pranayama. Pretty much the same as always. What shall we call it this time?" Body - Breath - Mind... in that order, same yoga as my Tibetan Lama taught me. Same yoga my Krishnamacharya lineage gave me. Yet, I am in the minority, and this is perplexing for me. This interesting article goes some way to explain what happened to yoga. <3

25.01.2022 Yay! We launch over 40 different Yoga for Freedom Ambassador events led by some incredible teachers whose hearts are in social change and taking yoga off the ma...t this week! Together we will be anchoring our vision for healing, hope and freedom through our yoga practice, and I can't wait to feel these vibration ripple out into the world! Our events kicked off on the 31st of August in Steamboat Springs, thanks to Emma Taylor, and the Yoga Centre of Steamboat in Colorado, USA, and Inge Selgeman at YourAshtanga yesterday in CO, USA. In Melbourne, Chakra and Bonnie kicked off our 14 Melbourne Ambassador events with singing their prayers in Kirtan for Freedom yesterday. Today, Pure Flow Yoga Thailand is kicking off our Yoga for Freedom week with their awesome 5-day retreat in Paradise, thanks to the amazing Francie Fishman. In Europe, we have 17 events in Germany and Switzerland, thanks to Tracy Cooper and Vanessa Allgaier, with a Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Workshop with Felicitas Alber starting in a few hours!
