13.01.2022 Don’t drive and Pokemon DISTRACTED drivers are an increasing problem on our roads, but the latest Pokemon craze has forced VicRoads to install variable messaging signs across Melbourne advising people to Don't Drive and Pokemon. The latest VicRoads safety campaign is a precautionary measure with about 40 locations being targeted, including busy roads and arterials. The signs have attracted significant media attention and also received community praise as a creative solut...ion to road safety. Anything that can distract a driver from the primary purpose of driving can be dangerous, and taking your eyes off the road for a couple of seconds can result in a crash where someone is injured or killed. Police warn drivers can be fined $466 fine and lose four demerit points if they’re caught using their phones behind the wheel. See more
