23.01.2022 Just been on the TMR site and saw some of the feedback some of you have given, thank you so much you’re awesome. These are a couple of pics of a mates boat at Sanctuary Cove, he sells straight off the boat in the middle of the marina to the public and has successfully been there for over 10 years now. This is the dream.

23.01.2022 This is a pic showing the moorings I would like to use for this. It’s an old pic as these moorings have been empty for some time now.

23.01.2022 Well folks, that’s a wrap for another week, all sold out again. A big thank you to all of our customers. Hope you all have a great weekend.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, unfortunately there’s no seafood this week, taking care of some maintenance during the full moon and we’ll be back fishing next week. 21.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. We’ll have beautiful fresh wild caught seafood available this Friday. So place your orders with myself Ben for a Manly pick up or with Paul for a Nundah pick up. Also just letting everyone know that we don’t have eftpos yet so all sales are cash only at the moment and we don’t hold much cash so not much change.... With the weather warming up it’s the perfect time to kick back on the weekend with a wine or beer and some chilled fresh cooked prawns. Hope you all have a great week and as always, take care and stay safe.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week. Unfortunately we won’t have any seafood this week, we’ve had a couple of upgrades getting done that we’ve been waiting on for a while now. I’ll definitely be fishing next week as I need to test the upgrades out. I do apologise for any inconvenience but it’s better that I get everything sorted on the boat now during the quiet part of the year so I don’t have problems when the season kicks off around October/November. I appreci...ate your understanding. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and have a great weekend. See more

21.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, just letting you know that we’re all sold out. A big hello to our new customers and a big thank you to you all for your support, it’s much appreciated. Also, apologies again the customers that we had a couple of hiccups with as we’re still having a few teething problems as we set this business up.... I already have a few ideas on improving the way we operate so we’ll hopefully do a better job for you next time. We’re going to take a break and do a couple of jobs on the boat next week as fishing is still pretty quiet out there at the moment but if anything changes I will let all you know. Take care and stay safe everyone, hope you all have a great weekend. Cheers

21.01.2022 Had some visitors today. Seafood doesn’t get any fresher than that. You should try one of their pizzas out.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great weekend. We are sold out again for the week, thank you to all of our customers for your support, it is very much appreciated. I’ll be back out fishing again this week and playing cat and mouse with the weather but I’ll have more fresh wild caught Australian seafood available next Friday.... Take care and have a great week.

19.01.2022 Hi everyone, we’re all sold out again. Thank you to all our customers for your support, it really is appreciated. Take care and we hope you all have a great weekend.

19.01.2022 Anyone trying to message me, please do it via my mobile phone number or through the Lotza Seafood messenger. Don’t do it through my Ben Lotz messenger because for some reason it won’t let me switch to it and keeps dropping out when I try to. A couple of people have tried to message me and I can’t read them unfortunately.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. I have a favour to ask of you all. At the moment TMR (Transport and Main Roads) are having a consultation process on the future of the Manly Boat Harbour which they run. As many of you might know, I am the only operational trawler based between the Brisbane river and Redland Bay, for almost 10 years I have wanted to operate the out of this area and supply fresh local seafood to the community of the southern bay suburbs.... The main part of my plan has been to sell directly from the boat itself in much the same way that the trawlers do down at Southport, basically a clean well presented and professional operation that would provide a unique service to the area and help bring in tourism and therefore more business to the Manly area. This has been a dream of mine for sometime. My proposal to TMR is that they allow for the first 3-4 berths on the TMR finger at Manly to be allocated for a handful of trawlers to be able to sell directly to the public. This finger runs off the end of the William Gunn jetty, I would like them to allow public access to the trawlers during daylight hours on a Friday, Saturday and possibly Sundays. If this is a service that you or others you know would be interested in utilising can you please share this and jump on the TMR site and leave your feedback with them. The consultation process finishes the 14th (This Friday) I only just found out about it as TMR had told me it wouldn’t happen till later in the year and told me they would let me know when it started, they didn’t! (not the first time they have tried to stuff me around with this as I’ve been trying to make this happen for 6months now). The more people we can get to do this the better chance we have of making it happen, even if you aren’t from the local area please go on the site and leave feedback as I’m trying to show that this will bring in tourism from other suburbs to the area. If you could go to the address, www.tmr.qld.gov.au/ManlyBoatHarbour and leave your feedback that would be greatly appreciated. Also please feel free to share this post and get the word out as we now only have one day left to do this unfortunately. The picture provided shows the end of the William Gunn jetty and the access to the first couple of moorings on the finger that I propose to use. I have provided TMR with a detailed plan of my proposal and the reasons behind it. All I am asking is that you let them know you would like a couple of trawlers their and access to them so you can purchase your seafood directly from them, if that’s what you would like to be able to do. Thank you so much.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. It’s a little windy outside at the moment but I did manage to get a couple of nights in at the start of the week and although I’m tucked up safely in harbour at the moment, I’m hoping to get back out tonight but failing that there’s always tomorrow night. Good news is that I’ll have fresh wild caught Australian seafood this Friday but just not sure how much of it yet.... Notice to Nundah customers: Paul Mroz is again unavailable this Friday so pickups will be on Saturday morning. Please place your order directly with him so that there is no confusion and it makes my life a lot easier as I’m not writing down as many orders while trying to operate the boat. If you need more information on our product before placing an order, You can find our price list pinned to the top of the feed on the Facebook page. Thank you all, take care and I hope you have a great week.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone hope you’re all having a great week even with the lock down. I’m out fishing this Easter week but there’s a few changes so that I can get seafood to those of you who want it for Good Friday. Also things are a little up in the air with the lock down so everything is subject to change but I’ll do everything I can to get your seafood to you.... Please remember that this is the only other week of the year where prawns are an extra $5 per kg. At this stage pick ups at Manly will be Wednesday afternoon between 4-6pm and Thursday morning between 10-12am North side customers, pickup will be on Thursday afternoon at the Northgate Tucker Box at 31 Acacia Ave Northgate between 3-6pm. There will be no sales Friday or Saturday as I need to deliver the rest of the seafood to a shop Friday morning. Please make sure you bring a bucket or esky with you when you pickup and that all sales are cash and don’t forget the extra $5 p/kg Easter week surcharge because I’m sure earning it tonight out in this weather. If there are any changes with regards to the lockdowns I’ll let you know but as you are buying seafood for Good Friday and it’s better social distancing then going to the shop I can’t see there being a problem. Well enjoy the rest of your week everyone, take care and stay safe.

16.01.2022 Another beautiful day at the office and more fresh wild caught seafood available this Friday. Hope you’re all having a great week so far.

15.01.2022 Mmmmm, nothing like fresh cooked prawns. Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. We’ll have fresh wild caught seafood again this week but there are a few changes.... To all our Nundah customers, you will need to place your orders with Paul by Wednesday evening for pickup on Thursday arvo as Paul is unavailable this Friday. Manly customers will need to place orders with me by Wednesday evening but can pick up Thursday or Friday arvo at the latest. Take care and stay safe everyone, hope you all have a great week and hopefully we’ll see you at the end of it.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. Unfortunately I won’t have any seafood this week, the weather just hasn’t played ball with us. Next week is looking better so I’ll hopefully have fresh seafood for you all next Friday.Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. 14.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. I’ve just about got the boat back together and I’m going to work tonight, I’ll only have 2 nights work this week so not too sure how much seafood I’ll have but I’ll be giving it a good go.... Attention Nundah customers!! Paul will be unavailable on Friday this week so pickups will take place at O’Hair Barbers on Saturday morning only. For Manly customers pickups are Friday between 1-6pm and Saturday between 10am to 1pm. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and I’ll be back Friday with some more beautiful fresh wild caught Australian seafood for you. Take care and stay safe.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. Unfortunately our week hasn’t quite gone to plan with the weather at the start of the week and then a problem with the hydraulics when getting ready to go which requires repairs and more bad weather coming tomorrow. Seems to be one of those weeks when you start with a plan and the universe says here hold my beer.... So unfortunately there’s no seafood this week but everything should be sorted out and ready to go for next week. So fingers crossed that with a bit of luck and hopefully some decent weather, I’ll be able to string a few nights together and supply you all with some beautiful fresh wild caught Australian seafood. I’d also just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and for patience over these last few months as you all have helped our little business to survive so far. Thankfully over the next couple of months from around October/November we should be able to provide more consistency and quantity as the season starts to kickoff. One last thing as well, I’m a big believer in trying to improve the way I do things. Doing this Facebook page is a bit of a different concept for me with promoting and operating a fishing business and anyone who knows me also knows that I’m not the most tech savvy person. So if you have any feedback or ideas on how I can improve your experience either on the page itself or on how I handle and supply your seafood, please feel free to let me know. For example, would you like more information on the industry and fishing practices we undertake? Would you like me to interact with you more by posting pictures and videos of what I do (more action) ? Or would you prefer it as is with just the occasional picture and weekly updates ? I just thought I’d put it out there for all of you because this is a entirely new concept for me and as you are all my customers, this is really your page. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and have great weekend, Take care, stay safe and fingers crossed for next week.

12.01.2022 WE’RE BACK!! After being out of action for almost 6 weeks with engine problems we’re finally back out fishing this week and with all the rain flushing the prawns out of the rivers it looks like it’s just in time. Seem to be getting mostly small and medium Tigers plus a bit of headless green prawns and medium squid.... I’ll be doing sales at Manly only this Friday between 4-7pm. Please make sure bring a bucket, esky or something like that thank you. I won’t be doing sales on the north side this weekend as I’ve got a fair few things I need to do, so apologies to our north side customers. Some north side customers are choosing to drive down and pickup their seafood Friday afternoon so you are welcome to do that. Hope you’re all having a great week so far, take care and stay safe.

12.01.2022 A few more pics of the Sea Jay

11.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. I’m back out again after that bit of a blow and I’ll be back this Friday with more fresh wild caught Australian seafood. Notice Nundah customers. At this stage pickups will continue to be on Saturday so please contact Paul Mroz to place your orders and he will let you know when will be the best time for pick up.... Manly customers, I will be selling between 2-7pm on Friday and from 10am to 1pm Saturday or until sold out. Also please note that if you are placing an order at Manly with me on my mobile, please text it to me. I have bad reception out here and can’t hear you when the motor is running and please don’t leave a voicemail message as I’m having trouble with my telco and I can’t access voicemail so I can’t hear your message. So please just TEXT me your order on 0490 838 333 or through the messenger button on this page. Enjoy the rest of the week, take care and stay safe. Cheers

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a great week so far. Apologies to our customers this week. Unfortunately I’ve had a few things that needed taking care of this week that are preventing me fishing and the weather hasn’t been great either so sadly I won’t have any seafood this week as I only do fresh not frozen.... I am looking at doing a little bit of frozen in the near future for anyone that might be interested so I’ll post more info on that once I have it setup. At this stage I’ll be back fishing next week so stay tuned for updates and I’ll hopefully have some beautiful fresh wild caught Australian seafood for you. Take care, stay safe and I hope you all have a great rest of the week and weekend.

04.01.2022 Good morning everyone, Fresh Seafood Day today. Hasn’t been a great week, still a bit early for the season start but I think we have you all covered, there may have to be a couple of adjustments with sizes for a few of you but with not much around there’s not much we can do about that just yet, unfortunately. Stay safe and I hope you all have a great day.... Cheers See more

04.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well. Unfortunately we won’t have any seafood this week so apologies to our customers who have already placed orders this week. I started the week with a plan and nothing has gone right since I made it, Been a bit of a week from hell.... Everything should be right to go with the boat for next week and I’ll just have to wait and see what the universe wants to throw at me for the week. All going well I’ll finally have more fresh wild caught seafood for you next Friday, please keep an eye on the page for updates around midweek as I’ll wait till I’ve done a couple of nights fishing before I post. Take care and have a good weekend.
