21.01.2022 As we start spring, we know following what has been a completely unpredictable few months, the 2020 spring selling season is likely to show different trends to what we have seen historically. Whilst there has been a slowdown in buyer and seller activity, market prices have held firm, despite the pandemic and some challenging economic conditions. Traditionally, Spring is when we see the most listings. But are we likely to see a flurry of activity once the second wave eases and... stage four lockdown is lifted? We saw once the first lockdown ended, things bounced back quite quickly. So, I think it’s likely more listings will become available, once the lockdown ends. These current restrictions have really stifled the opportunity for vendors that were looking at having an early spring campaign and perhaps an auction in September. I don’t think we are going to see runaway growth in pricing but I think it will remain more stable than we would have expected under these circumstances.
