23.01.2022 We are very lucky to have friends like PNG Explorer. In January will the help my solar project, by deliver 44 X 400 watt LG solar panels to Alotau. from Alotau, will Pius , Manager from Nimoa Hospital organise transport to Nimoa Island- This will make a huge different in the life of people at Nimoa Island, as they have always have had a hard time to find enough electricity to run the service at Nimoa Island. Many thanks to Michael Reidken, Exel Power, for all the help he an...d his team do to get this up and running. Also a huge thanks to LG Energy for donating solar panels, way and beyond my wildest dreams. Only thing we need in 2020, is to be allowed to sail South Pacific again. See more
20.01.2022 I've been working with another volunteer group from Tawoomba. They install big solar systems in village's. Over the last 6 weeks I have been bringing forward Nimoa island, as the next installation. They had a meeting last Friday, and it's a GOAHEAD. THEY will send up a electrician to see what's needed to run the station without generator. Ill go long, flying 7n to Misima, dinghy to Nimoa for a few days. Very very excited about it all, lots of hard work bare fruit.
13.01.2022 Well, like a lot of others, we are waiting for Borders to open again. Then we will have a happy return to Nimoa island. Next solar installation will be a 19 kw, or there about, that will make the generator a stand by power plant. Thus again will free up money for village visit and other maintaince at the hospital. My friends from GES, are signing a system, like the one they 7nstalledd in E Timor 2019. Can't wait
