Filling thi...s exceptional vessel is the @sydneybrewery Black IPA- 6%. Check that big fluffy mushroom head- yeah buddy, money shot! Pours a nice dark brown hue, hold it up to the light & it offers a slight red tinge. Citrus & roasted malts fight for your nasal attention. A nice medium bitterness lingers with an almost smoky tobacco like finish. Citrus, roasty coffee characters for days & a bit of bitter dark choc parading around too. There is plenty going on, but it drinks with real ease (confirmed I did put 2 away back to back writing this). As it warms I’m also getting some pine coming through, together with a bit of a sweeter toffee.
