25.01.2022 At Christmas all roads lead home Marjorie Holmes Well unless it is a COVID year, and we live in NSW and some family lives in WA, and every state in #australia except Tasmania... and we didn’t book Makalu in a kennel due to COVID!

21.01.2022 Where do your Christmas decorations come from? Do you have colour themes? I will share my decorations with you when I set my tree up as I have collected them from all over. I lived in London for 4 years and hit the Christmas markets in Europe, when I travel at Christmas I collect more. 2 years ago was the first Christmas I had all my decorations in the same place, and it was serendipitous how the colours and materials were all so similar. I will be putting my tree up next week as I Love Christmas and want to enjoy it a bit longer, as we also have a massive run of birthdays before Christmas

19.01.2022 Small Business Recovery Grants of up to $3,000 will be available from 1 July on the Service NSW website. The grant can be used for fit-out changes, staff training, advertising, marketing and more. This will help COVID-19 impacted small businesses relaunch and stay COVID-safe.

Love Local Northern Rivers started 2 years ago on Instagram and has a beautiful community that follows us! Yesterday we have reached 3000 followers and I am so grateful everyday for the support you give me to run this page, and the opportunity it has given me to start this business. Our love of so many products we have featured is evolving into L...OVE LOCAL ARTISAN BOXES which will be monthly subscription boxes filled with local goodness. This is inspired by what amazing products you send photos of, and my love of sending those products to family and friends. We will also launch a LOVE LOCAL GIFT CONCIERGE service in the future, so we can find the perfect gifts from local products. 15.01.2022 While there was no Jacaranda Festival this year, local businesses celebrated the Jacaranda Season 2020 by turning the town purple. We are proud to be featuring @graftonjarandafestival and some 68 local businesses over the next week. Such a great initiative by @graftonjacarandafestival @graftonchamberofcommerce and Clarence Valley Council. Thank you @clarencevalleydirectory for collaborating and Elize Strydom @twinrivers_ (born & bred Grafton girl) for taking on the ch...allenge! You are a true gem. And lastly, thank you @golocafirst for featuring and showing your support! REPOST @golocalfirst The city of Grafton was built on the banks of the Clarence from 1831 after cedar-farmers discovered a wealth of ‘red gold’. Grafton’s many historical buildings and businesses still take pride of place. The @saratontheatre is Australia’s largest and oldest theatre and cinema and beloved ‘bendy bridge’ connects the northern and southern neighbourhoods. This central hub is home to the annual @graftonjacarandafestival, the oldest floral festival still celebrated in Australia. Last week, @clarencevalleydirectory took on the streets of Grafton and one by one managed to photograph and connect with some 68 local small businesses that had registered for Grafton’s #gopurple campaign. They did so to showcase the beautiful display and incredible resilience of the many local businesses who kept the Jacaranda spirit alive, and collaborated with @lovelocalnorthernrivers to further the exposure for their local businesses. While there was no Festival this year, the community and local businesses celebrated by turning the town purple, and they were delighted to have visitors flocking to the region for the spectacle and shop with some of their local businesses. #gopurple is an initiative of @graftonjacarandafestival and supported by @graftonchamberofcommerce and Clarence Valley Council. .
