25.01.2022 Steph, what a stunner! She is kind, down to earth and is always glowing, carrying her beautiful smile. Thanks @stephcarmen27 What does your morning routine look like? My morning routine begins with my skin care regime topped off with a good quality zinc based SPF50+. I cherish this ritual! Then it’s into muuum a quick snuggle in bed with my girls before getting them dressed. Breakfast looks something like scrambled eggs or porridge setting us up for the day. Some mornings ...Sy cooks for us which is a lovely treat. Then it’s feeding time for the menagerie before we get out the door. What is your definition of success? My definition of success is finding fulfilment & happiness. No matter what you choose to do, if you are happy or feeling a sense of purpose you are winning! What doe you admire most about yourself? I admire my ability to adapt to change. When life has other plans which it usually does I take it in my stride. What does self care mean to you? Self care to me is good diet. I believe food is medicine. Minimising stress which I find exercise, moving my body to get those endorphins pumping helps. A 30min yoga practice on an app I use downdog at home daily. Good quality sleep, I diffuse lavender oil in my bedroom before bed to set the mood. I aim to make these three areas of my life a priority. At times difficult but when the formula is right it’s time to thrive! And I give myself a break & reset if I get off track. Kind self talk is a constant practice. . . . #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #womeninspiringwomen #womenshealth #nalamaeproject #selfcare #selflove

25.01.2022 Gorgeous Meg, inspiring, kind and so knowledgable with all things women’s health & wellbeing. Meg is a breath of fresh air Thank you for being involved with the #nalamaeproject @thrive_wellbeing What would your dream day look like? Head to the Beach for some yoga. Home for some Pilates mat and reformer. Uninterrupted by kids !... Set the Beach tent up with my little family and a huge picinc full of yummy healthy food. Stay at the beach all day swimming, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding! Friends meet us at the beach! What do you admire about yourself ? My determination & My positive outlook! What does self care look like for you? For me prioritising the things that make me feel healthy & happy is self care. It's a form of preventative health! Prioritising is sometimes the hard part for all of us mums who seem to be all busy juggling many different roles. But more important than ever to find daily wellness practices to enhance our wellbeing! From excercise & eating yummy healthy food to getting enough rest to monitoring how much screen time! Self care needs to be holistic to keep us healthy & well! Nourish to flourish! #womeninbusiness #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #nalamaeproject #selflove #selfcare

25.01.2022 Spunky, fun and so generous! Kellie's passion for inspiring and empowering women who are experiencing hair loss is incredible! Love her @hairlossboss What's your definition of success? Success is being able to make difficult decisions knowing your future yourself will thank you for it.... What would your dream day look like? My favourite day of the week is Friday because it usually contains the things I enjoy most. Writing, wine and a nice meal somewhere with good company. What do you admire most about yourself? My ability to make others feel comfortable sharing the most vulnerable parts of themselves with me. What does self care look like for you? Alone time. I've always loved my own company and crave it constantly. #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #womeninspiringwomen #bossbae #selfcare #selflove #nalamaeproject

25.01.2022 I love Emily’s energy, she's kind, spiritual and so interesting her knowledge and understanding of holistic health are admirable. Thank you @emilyhallam What advice would you give someone wanting a career in natural health? Remember why you began on this path & don’t underestimate how critical natural health is in our changing world! Stay grounded & connected with nature, actually grow the herbs and keep practising the foundational stuff. ... What would a dream day look like for you? A dream day would be all about joyful frivolity and eating! A few close friends, my husband & our kids, cooking up a banquet, playing music and dancing. Eating out in our garden, lighting the fire and cosying up under the stars together, with some good tequila. What doe admire most about yourself? I admire the loving space I am holding for my kids & family right now, and how my spiritual practise is becoming more embedded in my day-to-day life. What does self care look like for you? My main self-care skill is menstrual cycle charting, it has changed everything in knowing what I need, and when. Since becoming a f/t mum, many of my self care practices are 2-3min sensory pleasure rituals that I know help ground me, like lighting a stick of beautiful incense, self massage or dance/non linear movement. . . . #womenempowerment #womeninspiringwomen #nalamaeproject #selfcare #selflove #womenhelpingwomen #womentribe

22.01.2022 Ever feel overwhelmed simply by the thought of self love? I know for me for a very long time the thought of ‘self love’ = ‘selfishness’ I didn’t understand that self-love = a greater ability to share love, be productive, and drink up life.... Self love is not selfish. It is imperative. Here’s tip #1 in our series: Move that gorgeous body of yours every single day and learn to love the skin you’re in. You can’t hate your way into loving yourself. #nalamaeproject #govita #womensupportingwomen #womenempowerment #womenempowerment #selfcare #selflove

20.01.2022 Life’s impurities and imperfections have a way of lingering. Use a fresh burst of Grapefruit and Bergamot to cleanse them away and resurface your beautiful. As you lather the cleanser between your palms or with a sponge and then breathe deeply as you gently massage into your skin. As you rinse carefully, exhale and repeat until you believe it: I am beautiful. #iambeautiful #womensupportingwomen #womenempowerment #selflove #selfcare #mumssupportingmums #buylocal #warrnambool #nalamaeproject

20.01.2022 This gorgeous girl was nominated to be apart of the Nala Mae Project by her special friend and I can understand why, I love Georgia’s positive energy and fun personality Thank you @georgiakeegan87 What are you obsessed with right now? I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed. I don’t feel I am an obsessive person but something I really enjoy making and eating are Banana Breakfast Biscuits. They are a peanut butter, banana and oat taste sensation and they’re vegan too. I got the recipe... out of a Woolies mag and put my own spin on it. Let me tell you these biscuits are a total TIME! Great with a coffee in the morning or whenever actually. YUM! What would your dream day look like? Sharing a beautiful day with smiles, adventures, good energy, fun stories and people who matter to me is total bliss. My dream day would involve a selection of my favourite people, sunshine, blue ocean, good food, good beats, good times and cold drinks - probably a bottle of bubbles. Who doesn’t love a bottle of bubbles? Treat yourself! What do you admire most about yourself? My confidence and endless positivity. A total testament to my beautiful parents, Helen and Phil who raised a strong and confident woman who knows what she wants, works hard to get it and oozes positivity and good vibes as she does her thing. If you’re going to do it, do it well and have a bloody great time doing it. We’re not here not to. What does self-care mean to you? listening to my body, making time for me, moving my body every day, eating well, and treating myself regularly to the things I love. I deserve it. . . #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #womenencouragingwomen #selflove #selfcare #fun #positive #nalamaeproject

10.01.2022 This woman is gorgeous inside and out, always so positive, vibrant and a warmth that has you feeling good when you’re around her. Thank you @caitlindolphin #nalamaeproject How do you set yourself up for the day? I love to start my day with some exercise, it clears my mind and makes me feel better in myself for the rest of the day. At the moment this is mainly just a morning walk, which is lovely, but when I can, a morning gym session makes my whole body and mind feel the b...est they can be. Then re-fuel with a big hearty breakfast of course! What advice would you give someone wanting to become a nutritionist? I’d tell them that it is worth the hard work. The knowledge itself is so rewarding to carry with you for the rest of your life, especially when it comes to looking after your own family. But you must also be very passionate and dedicated. It will impact all aspects of your life positively and really teach you to be a critical thinker. It’s so much more than just food, it’s a holistic approach to everything in life and that will in turn, benefit you and others around you more than you could ever hope for. What is a defining moment in your life? Career-wise, a particular nutrition clinic I worked at for a long time in Brisbane changed my life as a practitioner and as a person and has shaped how I practice and how I think. I’m forever grateful for the knowledge learnt and hard realities I faced working there. Personally, the birth of my daughter and becoming a mum. There are no words to describe how that changes your life instantly! What are you most grateful for right now? For my health and my body, nourishing and growing another little miracle, almost ready to come into this world. The human body is incredible and growing a baby is such a gift that I appreciate more than ever this year. What does self care look like for you? Looking after myself and my health, so I can do the same for my family and others. This starts with good food and exercise and always making sure I can prioritise those, then also including listening to my body and utilising other health modalities such as chiro and osteo to keep me feeling the best version of me.

08.01.2022 This babe, what a beautiful person in side and out. So kind, generous and incredibly creative. Debbie’s banging locks and beautiful smile are showstopping. Thank you @little_bikkie What advice would you give someone wanting to start a business? Don’t feel as though you need to wait until everything is perfect! If you have an idea and a passion for something, do some research, make a plan and just get it out there! The little things will sort themselves out along the way. S...eek out advice and never be afraid to ask for help. What would a dream day look like for you? A dream day for me would include sunshine, lots of family, sharing great food and the outdoors. The simple things seem so out of reach right now which makes me crave them even more! What do you admire most about yourself? I’m not great at answering these kinds of questions about myself but I can say with certainty that I admire and am proud of the kind of mum that I am. What does self care mean to you? Self care for me means making time at the end of the day to get lost in a good book. Email-free weekends and limiting the amount of time I spend on social media. Acknowledging when I’ve done enough for the day and taking my apron off so I can really be present with my boys. Lovingly saying No even though it goes completely against my people-pleasing personality! . . . #womeninbusiness #womensupportingwomen #womeninspiringwomen #nalamaeproject #selflove #selfcare

06.01.2022 Spiritual, comforting and kind what a gorgeous woman! Janelle’s passion for women’s health and well-being is beautiful. Thank you @awomanstouchbodywork for being involved with the #nalamaeproject What is your morning routine? My ideal morning routine allows time for a 9am sleep-in, heading out for a walk while listening to a podcast & breathing-in intentionally, followed by a mini meditation before I get into the day.... What does self care look like to you? I think self-care forever changes & evolves when you're constantly checking in with your bodies needs moment to moment. At the root of my self-care practice lies my menstrual cycle, I use my cycle to guide my days & months. Sometimes that means ditching the AM routine to read a book on the couch. Other days it looks like eating my lunch in the sunshine. And then I have weeks where I am very introverted vs extroverted. Self-care for me a cyclical practice where my body & womb are forever honoured. What is your definition of success? Success for me looks like creating a life for myself which honours my bodies cyclical nature. It's about rising for the day with joy in my heart & a deep knowing . . . . #womeninbusiness #womeninspiringwomen #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #selflove #selfcare #nalamaeproject

05.01.2022 This gorgeous woman what a breathe of fresh air! Karis is kind, genuine, charismatic and her smile always brightens my day. What an absolute treasure @karis_britton What sets you up for the day? I go to bed super early and find this time to be my quiet time after a busy day, this sets me up with lots of energy and a positive mindset for the next day. I’m a morning person, love to exercise for half an hour to an hour with a run, walk or workout before brekky coffee and ...work! What is one defining moment in your life? I lost someone very close to me as a teenager and this really shaped my life and my path both personally and professionally. It made me realise very early on in life that you only live once and you’ve got to take it with both hands and run with it like you may not be here tomorrow. In those moments you work out the type of person you are and what strength you really have. This defining moment lead me to song writing and singing and finding my inner voice, it lead me to media, making people laugh and smile and also management where working with individuals to help develop showcase and embrace their brilliance really has been a reflection on bringing out the best and making others see how brilliant they and this life really is. I’ve had challenges, setbacks as well as success but that one moment in my life makes me eager to always improve set goals and achieve them and most of all embrace everyone I love around me and never take them for granted for a minute. What does dream day look like for you? I love my family of 4 soon to be 5 and our bigger family and friends like nothing else in this world, if I could spend a dream day my way it would be having all our favourites to the farm for lots of entertaining laughing and smiling. I can never have too much of hosting our family and friends and socialising with them, it’s definitely my favourite thing to do. What does self care mean to you? Self care to me is consistency. I’m the worst relaxer you would meet so I try and keep consistent with everything else, I look after myself by keeping a balanced diet, exercising and laughing! #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #selfcare #nalamae

03.01.2022 I met beautiful Sarah on Instagram, she's an absolute treasure Thank you @_findbliss for being apart of the #nalamaeproject What advice would you give someone wanting to start a business? Make sure it’s something you find joy in, and something that lights you up. When someone is passionate it truly shines through into their products. Also if you are passionate about it, then you won’t mind doing all of the behind the scenes work that comes with it.... What would your dream day look like? My dream day would be to wake up early-ish, and stay in bed with a coffee and snuggle with the dogs and my hubby. I would then do a morning workout - call me crazy, but there’s nothing better than getting your endorphins up to set you up for a great day. I would then go out for brunch at a cute cafe followed by a big walk along the beach with the dogs and my hubby. The afternoon would be spent around the home, relaxing, reading a good book, or baking up some sort of healthy treat. The day would finish with a nice bath, and early night! What do you admire most about yourself? The thing that I admire most about myself is that I see the positivity in EVERYTHING! No matter what I might be going through, or what I see others go through, I approach it in a positive light. I point out the good aspects of any situation, and focus on what there is to be grateful for. I do pride myself on being a positive energy, and have a happy and bubbly personality. What does self-care look like for you? To me, self-care is soooo important and is one of my top priorities. Self-care for me, is doing what I can to be the best possible version of myself. For me that means making time every day to exercise, meditate, and get into nature. They are my non-negotiables. Self care for me is also making time to read books that I enjoy, taking baths regularly, getting massages, and fueling my body with healthy foods. It’s anything that allows me to stop and fill my own cup up. If you don’t take time for yourself, you will not be able to bloom into the best possible version of yourself and give the world what you’ve got to give!
