21.01.2022 I was just looking back at some of my older illustrations and came across this girl... I think shes the sluttier older sister of the girl I drew yesterday! I obviously have a thing for red heads, hmmm.

12.01.2022 My Prince... a little morbid for a Friday, but believe it or not this illustration comes from a deeply positive place. xx

10.01.2022 I love paper, particularly the inside of cereal boxes and other packaging cartons, they are a cheap and almost endless drawing resource! This piece of card came in a shoe box, its colour and texture are soft and gorgeous so I decorated it with some of my signature birds...

09.01.2022 I found these two in a very old sketch book. They look so cute together! xx

08.01.2022 My daughter asked me if my bracelets annoy me when Im drawing. When I thought about it, I told her they dont, I actually love that way they sound, jangling and jingling as I create something new...

08.01.2022 Happy mothers day beautiful mummies! xx

07.01.2022 This is me, with a piece I finished back in December. I actually hate most photos of myself, but people often ask how big my work is and this pic gives a sense of scale... this piece is A3, but this year I'm planning to do some much larger work and potentially (fingers crossed) even a mural! xx

06.01.2022 Work in progress, adding colour... I have a feeling this is going to be ridiculously cute!

06.01.2022 For my brave little Dusty girl who broke her leg two weeks ago. Youre amazing and I love you brave warrior girl! xx

05.01.2022 Some iso art, fire & water. Ink on cold-pressed water colour paper...

05.01.2022 Painting with these two today... I always enjoy painting with my girls, but Ive had to get them their own paints and brushes. They always mix my colours together and scrub my brushes across the paper so hard the bristles get all broken. Its OCD meets parenting and I just cant cope! I realise this isnt teaching them the important skill of sharing but it saves my sanity and I dont yell at them so I think were square. xx

04.01.2022 WIP... ink on paper. Forest warrior. xx

02.01.2022 S is for Soup and Sesame Seeds... and Spoon and Serviette and Sour cream...

02.01.2022 In my final year at art school my senior lecturer told me that id never be a good designer but could possibly do something with my illustration but he wasnt confident a creative career was right for me. For years his words rang in my ears, I believed it when he told me I wasnt any good. For years I avoided work with any creativity involved because of it. 15 years on and despite him (certainly not because of him) I have a great job where my boss has full confidence in my creative abilities and encourages me to go for it... And my illustration, well, I just love doing it and I think Im getting pretty good at it. I should never have given one person that much power over my future, but I was young and just goes to show you need to be careful what you say when in such a position...

01.01.2022 Doodling & writing... my two loves.

01.01.2022 WIP... Little desert dwellers.
