20.01.2022 The 7th annual Just Dance Cairns Ballroom Titles has come to an end! We put everything we have into this event each year, and we hope you all enjoyed your time in Cairns as much as we enjoyed hosting you. No event can be a success without the contributions of many. We thank our fabulous panel of adjudicators for travelling to Cairns to judge. Thanks to Chris for compering, Martha for scrutineering, and Sharon & Jen for marshalling - you made a very effective team, keeping eve...rything running as smoothly as possible! Thanks to our volunteers who assisted with set up, during the event and pack down. Thank you to LoveLeigh's Cakery for keeping us all hydrated and fed throughout the day - I know you had a very hectic weekend at the shop and we are grateful you made the time for us as well. We also thank our sponsors for their invaluable support - Totally Workwear Cairns, Bill Sexton Accountants, Audi Centre Cairns, Interglaze Pty Ltd, Dozoco Building Services, Diamonte.net, Dancesport Queensland, Cairns Dance and the Cairns Ballroom Dancers Club. 18.01.2022 We are aware of the growing concern surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and that many competitions have already been forced to cancel following the Australian Go...vernment’s announcement regarding events with 500 or more in attendance. We anticipate that at this stage the North Queensland DanceSport Championships will still be held, as we are hopeful that events will be reinstated by this time, however we will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds. If there are any changes regarding the status of our event, we will advise you as soon as possible. We appreciate your extra consideration and support during this time. We hope to still be able to welcome you to Cairns in July! In the meantime, please stay safe.

Everyone has certainly experienced a major upheaval to Austra...lia’s dance studios and events scheduled to be held this year. We have been holding out in the hopes that we could still run Queensland’s only Championship in Cairns this July. However, with so much uncertainty surrounding what the next few months will mean for dance studios and large gatherings, it is with a heavy heart we announce that the 2020 North Queensland DanceSport Championships has been cancelled.
