23.01.2022 I was excited when I got home tonight and my specially designed and ordered cards had arrived from Catherine Leo Photography. About 12 months ago Cath visited Lowan Park to take some professional photos of our pastured poultry, our beef, the rest of the farm and Dad and I. We all had a great time and I love the photos so much. ... I use the photos as often as I can for all of the Lowan Park Produce branding and promotion. As the end of 2020 approaches, I want to make sure I recognise and thank everyone who has helped get the business off the ground and keep operating in difficult times. The ability to send a hand written note on cards depicting the farm is delightful and I already have the warm fuzzies seeing the cards for real. Thanks so much Cath, I can and do recommend you to everyone needing a photographer.

22.01.2022 Happy National Ag Day. Like all great moments that should be celebrated and reflected on, at the last minute my day has been so full and interesting that I’d nearly forgotten. Some days you’re not in control, other days you’re not sure why you choose agriculture as a profession and then other days you wouldn’t choose anything else.... This year, in 2020, Australia is being reminded at how important all agricultural roles and businesses are to keep our great country on track, I hope it remains that way. 07.01.2022 The paddock chickens were much happier today after several days of extreme heat. This time of year there isn’t much green grass for them to eat but still lots of interesting beetles, bugs, and spiders to munch on. The moths that moved in after the heat on Friday were a tasty snack for them all too. 01.01.2022 An exciting day on the farm today. I made the last daily move of the chook hotels in a paddock that has hosted chooks for the last 12 months. Everyday the chook hotels have moved forward one pen length to give the chickens fresh pasture, new bugs and ground to scratch up and enjoy.... Everyday in return the chickens have fertilised the ground and left behind a bit of feed to help replenish the soil and grown more grasses and plants. Next, the cattle will be let in to enjoy the fresh pasture and help to move the cycle along. I love how it all works in harmony. Happy chooks, great tasting chicken.
