21.01.2022 NATIONAL POLICE REMEMBERANCE DAY Today is about commemorating police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, remembering how they served with honour. However, maybe we should also take a moment to appreciate the courage and dignity all previous, current, and future police officers serve with also. Our thanks go South Australia Police's local police officers, detectives, major crime investigators, mounted units, K9 units, STAR division and many more for the loyal...ty you show to your badge and your never ending commitment to keep our communities safe. Our deepest sympathies to those who were in any way close to those who lost their life while serving, and appreciation to the fallen. You truly are everyday heroes

15.01.2022 REMEMBERANCE DAY On the 11th of November 1918 at 11am, after over four years of incessant warfare, the Western Front silenced marking the conclusion of the first world war. On this date we look back and recall all the service men and women who fought and gave their life, allowing our beautiful country and its people to live the way we do. We thank you ... "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."

02.01.2022 Rest in Peace Stuart Lambert ESM On Friday the 21st of August 2020, the SA State Emergency Service community lost one of their finest. Not only a loyal friend and a knowledgeable mentor, but an incredible rescuer. Stuart Lambert volunteered at Barmera SES for almost 50 years, landing himself in the Unit Manager position. Stuart also became one of the most important volunteers within the greater Riverland district, attaining capability coordinator roles, quickly becoming kn...own for his rescue abilities. Not only did he volunteer at the local level, he became a well-known name across the state as one of the most knowledgeable Road Crash Rescue trainers, partaking in LUKAS hydraulic tool demonstration. Stuart taught Road Crash Rescue all over SA and even inter-state, to not only SES but CFS and MFS included. Along with a close friend, Danny Wood, Stuart wrote the 'Heavy Road Crash Rescue' training package and delivered it to local units to further our rescue capability, ensuring our capacity of rescue was always on par with local requirements. As stated above Stuart was not only an incredible rescuer, but an incredible friend... someone who showed great compassion and loyalty to those around him. There are MANY stories to be shared involving this amazing man and his outstanding achievements and never enough time to share. Our deepest sympathies go out to Stuarts wife, children, and grandchildren. We would also like to send our condolences to the entirety of Stuarts rescue family who are shook greatly by this tragedy. We hope you may do the same. Time has come to hang up the overalls, but you will always be riding shotgun with us. Rest in Peace Stuart Love from your brothers and sisters in orange from Loxton SES
