25.01.2022 Completed a job a little while ago now. A Ute tray swap over. Pulled the new tray off and swapped it over for the tradesman toolbox pack. Drawer and lights removed and re-fitted and number plate and lights moved to allow for the drawer. Stock rims changed to alloys.

13.01.2022 A quick Sunday Service. After helping a customer in Super Cheap with bearing selection, and steps on how to correctly change them, I offered our services to have them done in a timely manner, and give the customer peace of mind before heading off to Sydney.

13.01.2022 Another busy morning. Tradies trailer brought in for suspension repairs and bearings to be serviced.

13.01.2022 Made and fitted some 1/4 guards for a clients ute today. Unfortunately someone decided to steal one in the middle of the night during the week.

12.01.2022 Last minute bearing service for a weekend adventure!!!! Safe travels everyone and have a great weekend!!!

11.01.2022 Work isnt always about the money. Sometimes its about giving back to the community. Today a group of local small businesses,(Loztrail Fabrications included) courtesy of Connect Narangba got together and supported the Narangba Rural Fire Services in removing and replacing their fence line posts. ... A shout out to CPS Civil, JSB Kanga and Russel McKenna Plant Hire, for donating time, man and machines, and also to the many foot volunteers with shovels, tapes and variety of other equipment filling in and measuring holes. 40 holes, 40 posts, in approximately 4 hours. Not a bad mornings work.

11.01.2022 Do you own a trailer? So many of us give no thought when connecting a trailer up to our vehicles to use. When was the last time you checked your bearings, or had them serviced or replaced? ... Bearing failures are a common source of trailer problems and can quite often be costly to fix, when its all too late, sitting on the side of the road with a wheel hanging off. Whether it be a backyard box trailer, boat trailer, tradies trailer, camper or caravan, give a bearing service some consideration. Meanwhile we can also fix that faulty light, upgrade your lights to LED, check your brakes and adjust them, or just fix the few niggling issues that annoy you every time you use your trailer. As well as doing trailer servicing, we also do general steel welding and fabrication. Have a great weekend!!!

11.01.2022 After a new coat of red paint by the owner and a new outboard motor fitted, it was time to do something about the old corroded and non functioning wiring. A new switch panel was fitted, a new sounder and transducer fitted and all the wiring updated and replaced.

10.01.2022 Replaced the tired old saggy springs. Added a few extra leaves in the spring pack to handle the required weight.

09.01.2022 Just a small article from the volunteer work recently done. Always feels great to help the community https://www.featuremagazine.com.au//Volunteers-Build-Fence

09.01.2022 Earlier this week we were asked to transform a customers boat for easier, more relaxing, boating and fishing. Removing and shortening a casting deck and bringing back the middle seat area for more comfortable boating while out on the water. They were more than keen to have it back out on the water this weekend.

09.01.2022 ANZAC Day 2020 ~ Lest We Forget ~

07.01.2022 Converting a customers casting deck

07.01.2022 A quick job this weekend, fabricating a clay tamper for Pond Works.

07.01.2022 A big thank you to Cheryl & Steve for the ongoing work, and kind sentiments. They are always a pleasure to deal with, and to have a coffee and a chat with afterwards.

06.01.2022 Small job this morning. Re-weld a customers bike rack they modified for easier removal behind their car.

05.01.2022 Another Solar Job

05.01.2022 Towing Safety Tip: Do you know how much weight you are putting into your trailer when you use it? Do you know how much you are legally allowed to put into it?... Not many of us really give this a thought when we load up our trailers to take to the tip, pick up things from the hardware shop, or even move house... Overloading your trailer is dangerous and attracts fines from $300 and 3 demerit points, as well as possibly voiding any insurance claims you may make if you have an accident. If you look on your compliance plate of your trailer, there will be listed a tare weight and an ATM or GVM The tare weight is just the empty weight of your trailer with no load. The ATM or GVM is what the trailer can carry when fully loaded, LESS its own weight!! So in saying this, follow the simple equation below to understand. Trailer tare weight 300kg Trailer ATM/GVM 750kg 750 - 300 = 450 So therefore you are legally allowed to put 450kg into your trailer to be legal. (all trailers should have a compliance or VIN plate fitted if built after the late 80s , if not its generally stamped into the chassis, or listed on your registration paperwork) Please use the above as a general guide only... I have copied and pasted RACQs link and guide below for a further and more in depth analysis for those who wish to read more. https://www.racq.com.au//trailer-and-tow-vehicle-specifica Happy towing and have a great weekend!!! Loz

05.01.2022 Another happy customer!!! After calling me to have the trailer nuts and bolts replaced, it was clear to see the boat also needed to be properly set up on the trailer, and when unhooked from the clients vehicle there was virtually zero tow ball down weight when towing.

05.01.2022 Fitted and wired some bling to the work Ute over Christmas.

03.01.2022 Parts arrived yesterday... stay tuned to see the transformation on Saturday !!!

02.01.2022 Courtesy of Claytons Towing.... *** This opinion is entirely my own based off what I can see from the information provided*** This is why all tandem trailers should all have load sharing (rocker) suspension. In line slipper slipper suspension doesnt transfer the axle weights properly. This thing would have been front axle heavy... if they were the 1400kg single leaf parabolic springs... ... overloaded as well.... (only a 2t GVM trailer) with mechanical cable brakes... VT commodore weight is approximately 1.7t, then add the trailer on top, illegal.... This thing would have gotten the wriggles up something fierce... after that theres not much else to control it... A very sad end to a towing trip. Insurance will probably be voided. Hope the driver and passengers were ok. See more

01.01.2022 It pays, to pay attention!! Whilst in for a simple drain hose repair and change, I did a quick visual check of the rest of the trailer. It was noted that there was a gap between the axle and springs. The U-Bolts had come loose, and broken the spring centre bolts on both sides.... If left unnoticed, the results could have been catastrophic...
