18.01.2022 Sorry to have to report that Barbary Coasters (or ANY other musos) will not be performing at TRINITY BEACH BAR & GRILL this weekend.. I appears the that the Ql...d Licensing Comm. has come in jackboot -style and forced them to stop all live music, putting at least 10 local musos now out of work for this venue.. It appears that QLC is also looking at the other venues in Trinity to target as well....After SOO much hard work by these venues to create a great community friendly entertainment areas .this now comes as a real kick in the guts for every one (I thought the govt. was supposed to be cutting red tape & helping small businesses to recover..this is just purely destructive to our community)..It' not only the musos & staff who are being wronged here , but EVERYONE who wants to be able to enjoy themselves at their local venues; The reasons given pertain to regulations imposed on the venues licence that are antiquated and restrictive and LONG overdue for review & revision to come into line with modern expectations of the general public. So folks.... So sorry to bring you this news, you SHOULD be angry, and you SHOULD speak to your fav. venue...Find out the facts and make your voices heard wherever you can, or you WILL lose these venues to this outdated bullish govt.pack of thugs who seem to be able to act with impunity & total disregard for struggling small business. .
