13.01.2022 LUCAS MILL HIT ANOTHER MAGIC MILESTONE! Established in March 1994, Lucas Mill Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business located in North East Victoria. The Business employs around 30 permanent staff members along with supporting dozens of local and interstate suppliers. The factory originated in a small farm shed on a sheep property nestled within the native stringy bark and red box trees in a locality called Wooragee. With low expectations, it came as a welcome surpri...se that orders for over 50 machines were placed in the first month of manufacturing a quantity the Lucas family would have welcomed as a typical annual output. We are pleased to announce that we have reached the milestone of manufacturing and selling over 20,000 Lucas Mill portable sawmills into more than 100 different countries around the world. The Lucas Portable Sawmill has become an increasingly well recognised piece of machinery amongst the farming and timber communities of Australia. Whether your project is cutting timber for private fencing, building or furniture making; or if you are a sub-contractor, there is no doubt that there is a strong demand for a quality Australian made product such as the Lucas Mill portable saw mill. In the current climate of environmental awareness, the Lucas Mill portable sawmill represents an ecologically sustainable option towards the recovery of timber from forests. The Lucas Mill can be transported to almost any location and set up to select harvest timber with minimal impact to the surrounding environment. March 2021 will represent Lucas Mills 27th anniversary in manufacturing their popular and proven portable sawmills.
