Cancer was long considered a contraindication for massage and many people who... have been affected by cancer have been turned away from spas. 07.01.2022 OMG has been trialling a new 'in-service' training opportunity at the Quest for Life Foundation and it worked! OMG and QFL are now offering a unique opportunity for qualified OM therapists to be part of the support team for the cancer and chronic disease program at Quest for Life in Bundanoon, NSW. If you have completed Oncology Massage Limited (previously Oncology Massage Training) Modules 1 and 2 or above, or Heart of Bowen and Touch Therapies with Deb Hart, you are eligibl...e to apply for this OMG & QFL in-service course. Course content: 1. One week residential experience on a Quest for Life program as the massage therapist. Experience a Petrea King program as well as offering OM to folk with cancer or other chronic diseases, in a supportive team environment. 2. Daily mentoring sessions, while on course, with Eleanor Oyston. 3. 1 hour per week for 12 weeks ongoing mentoring with Eleanor when you return to your clinic. Cost: $2000, complete payment payable 10 days prior to your placement. Deposit and payment plan can be arranged. Why you? Just write 200 words telling us why you should be selected to do the in-service training at Quest for Life. Certificate of Attendance on completion. CEP recognition pending.
