19.01.2022 Food for thought As parents we always put our kids first, we’d rather pay the top schools, doctors, practitioners , therapies over our needs any day of the week to ensure that they are healthy and succeed in life.... but they also NEED us present in body and mind It’s hard to put our needs first sometimes especially our health - we eat on the run or not at all, we give up exercise, sleep, our finances don’t allow us to come first at times ... The small moments I’ve spent on a juice cleanse, naturopathic appointment, counselling session or exercise session first has led to a much better household because I’m happy and healthy and we all benefit from a happy and healthy mum! This year I’ve committed to exercise and more juice cleanses for myself however my stress levels aren’t great ! So I need to do better!! I also need to live healthier for them Make this your 2021 goal fellow parents !

18.01.2022 SmartDNA and the genes were test for ... One of these is the Alzheimer’s gene , would you want to know? And would it change the decisions you make in life? We had this discussion at a smartDNA practitioner seminar a few years ago. The head geneticist said in one family it had a huge impact, one family member decided not to have kids as a result of finding out her other family members had the gene ... some years later she found out she didn’t actually have the gene!... Gene testing can have a huge impact on our life choices ... however a lot of the time it’s not a life sentence because how we live our life based on the information we have is where the impact is , we may never trigger particular gene expression simply based on our decisions after we find out certain gene outcomes Would love to hear your thoughts on this topic as it’s 100% your decision if you want to know about this gene outcome for you when you do your DNA testing

15.01.2022 I read an amazing article today that really resonated with me because this week I volunteered to be part of a 2 day business focus group discussing the COVID vaccine roll out in a large organisation, I volunteered for this because I absolutely believe in informed consent and in choice. I also feel strongly about this topic because as you know I am passionate about health and I cannot stand by and say nothing on a topic that deeply impacts me Then this article came alone today... talking about life regrets , big decisions, life choices For me, I’ll always stand up for my beliefs and I’ll always find a way to express my views in an informative and educated way, and, I always consider both sides of an argument I also know , in my heart , that if I don’t stand for rights - human rights, medical rights , then I cannot complain if rights and values are lost. I’ll regret not saying anything than saying something - even if I stand alone at least I stood and I tried So ... life regrets , I try not to have any regrets! How about you? Do you agree with the 5 life regrets in my graphic? These were taken from Australian caregiver Bronnie Ware who wrote a book about her experiences in palliative care. There were five regrets that dying people told her about most often. According to the article I read today: The most important decisions in life relate to family and friends. Spend the time getting these decisions right and then don’t let other distractions particularly those at work undermine these relationships. Seize opportunities. You can apologise or change course later but you can’t time travel. Your education and experience can never be lost. Avoid making decisions that violate your personal values and move you away from your aspirational self. If you have good justifications for a decision now, no matter what happens, you’ll at least not regret it later.

02.01.2022 I’ve done lots of teaching and educating lately in reels and posts and stories ... now it’s your turn ... What are you doing at the moment for a healthy gut and microbiome? #yourgutconnection #guthealthmatters #guthealing #microbiome #microbiomehealth #intermittentfasting #probiotics #plantbased #plantbaseddiet #brisbanehealth #nutritionist #nutritionistapproved #foodismedicine #nutritionismedicine
