"Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall" - President Ronald Reagan On the 9th November, 1989 (30 years ago this month) the Berlin Wall fell in the East German Democratic Republic reuniting Germany to the country it is today. This saw the end of communism throughout Eastern Europe and later lead to the demise of the Soviet Union.... You can visit remaining sections of the Berlin wall to this day, where street art displays anti-war and freedom murals.
