23.01.2022 Currently working on a new colour scheme inside and outside for a lovely couple in Blairgowrie. They want coastal tones inside, instead of white on white. If you want a peaceful calming feel to your bedrooms, blue tones are perfect. Dark blue on V-Groove board behind the bedhead and lighter blue for the walls with white trim and door in semi-gloss finish. This goes well with the grey carpet and light grey linen curtains. ... 16.01.2022 Floor covering can change a room instantly and picking the right one is the key to long term maintenance issues. If you have young kids and pets, it is important to go with hard wearing flooring to reduce wear and tear. There are a few options and tile is perfect if you like the look to last. We selected travertine tile for the sunroom project, which will absorb the sunlight and heat up the room too, especially during winter when the ray is lower.... Travertine is a natural stone and will require sealing every year or two. It is warm and organic! Having an inside outside room, it is the right selection for this space connecting to the decking outside. 09.01.2022 It is too cold in Winter to be sitting outside on our deck for a BBQ. With the sunroom, all seasons room, you can entertain all year round with family and friends. The gas fireplace is so pleasant and warm up the space within minutes.... Blinds and plantation shutters have been ordered. Next step, built in floating cabinetry on either sides of the fireplace. Built In furniture is great to customise the size and look to match the rest of the house.

06.01.2022 To change the look and feel of a room, we can do a feature wall in different colours and finishes or add a barn door with interesting woodwork pattern. Here we have installed a wide barn door with black fitting. It is functional as a door plus create a wall feature or artwork for the space.... 02.01.2022 As our population gets older and wiser with people living well into their 80's, it is time we think about community living in a smaller scale than retirement villages when there is just you or the two of you living at home. Image living in your favourite locations around Australia and sharing the expenses with like-minded people. Low maintenance gardens with shared pool, veggie patch and fruit orchard, tennis court, boat, etc... It is like time sharing but you own the proper...ties together as a group. Living in Sorrento/Portsea Victoria, I notice there are so many beautiful homes which are empty throughout the year. Image if you can purchase a property with family and/or friends and design it so you can share the space to make it more affordable. Buoys on Queens accommodation has been renovated so 3 couples can enjoy property and still have their own privacy. 02.01.2022 A lot of people have a hard time selecting their lighting needs at the beginning of their project. Lighting is critical to create the right ambience for every room. Apart from its functionality, you have to make sure the fittings suit the interior design.... In the sunroom, I have chosen downlight in warm white, wall light over artwork, and pendant with brass finishes, plus outdoors lighting to suit the salt air. The right lighting can change the feel of your home straight away. Make sure you allocate budget to buy the best you can afford. We can see light at the end of the tunnel with easing of restrictions so we can start visiting family and friends again. Stay healthy and safe!
