24.01.2022 Sailing and self isolation- on the water we're either ' in each other's space' on a keel boat or in our own company sailing alone. While a little frustrating that sailing is currently on hold this article looks at the situation positivelyand encourages us to dream of future adventures both on and off the water.

23.01.2022 Well done to the 6 through the sailing course. Different goals we’re hoping they achieve; a solo sailor, a father and son wanting to continue building their skills, a future motor boat driver and an east coast keel boat captain. A pleasure to get these students through and it’s been great to finally teach. And there’s native wildlife too!

19.01.2022 First half day taster ~ weather was great and all newbies had a turn tacking ( using the tiller to turn the boat through the wind) ~ we’ll all sleep well tonight - racing continues and yesterday we were off the water before the rain hit ~ magic time of year to be in the water ( on the water)

16.01.2022 Discover sailing day this Sunday 17th. Come along to the lake to find out what sailings all about. The early forecasts is for a beautiful day so it should be fun.You will be treated to a sail around the lake with an experienced sailor. And its free. See you on the lake.

16.01.2022 Week 4 of our sailing school gave us some drizzle and wind from the same direction with gusts and lulls. It did push our ( brain) bandwidth but the newbies handled the sometimes exciting sailing excellently.

11.01.2022 Thankyou to all the club members who gave up their morning today to help paint the control tower. It looks fantastic. Thanks especially to Rob and Herman for organising all the scaffold and most of the tools. It was a big job but with all the help we got it done.

Due to the p...lanning and preparation that is needed to run the day. So please dont miss out We have a brilliant day on the water planned followed by a great night of live music and fun events. 05.01.2022 Opening race tomorrow. Our first Rear Commodores Trophy race. Weather is looking sensational with 23c and 10 to 15 knot northerly. Doesnt get any better than that. Looking forward to seeing a big fleet on the lake.

02.01.2022 Day 5 on tbe water. Today we towed and capsized. The guys were amazing, in 5 days they are able to sail competently alone and master new techniques
