14.01.2022 What an amazing and beautiful gesture In Spain, the opera re-opened, after the Covid lockdowns, to an audience of plants, "[The Liceu] welcomes and leads a highly symbolic act that defends the value of art, music and nature as a letter of introduction to our return to activity," After the concert all the plants were donated to health care professionals in Barcelona.... #MabelsGarden #wherelovegrows

07.01.2022 It's #FloralFriday! July is the time for jonquils Although mine never come up in time for Charlotte's birthday on the 1st they will just manage to make a July showing. This little jonquil is an Early Cheer variety that I buy from The Garden Florist for Charlotte's birthday. They smell as sweet as they look.... 07.01.2022 A short walk through Gondwana rainforest and, oh, that view. Imagine. Once this whole area was a volcano. That mountain in the distance, Wollumbin it's called, it is the old plug of the volcano, and the Border Ranges National Park is the outer rim left after a enormous explosion. My kids love being able to say 'we are driving through an ACTUAL volcano!'... #MabelsGarden #lovegrowshine
