25.01.2022 Hi valued business clients and BAS lodgers, CPA Australia have yesterday cancelled all events/meetings until June, 2020 due to the current health crisis. In light of this, we here at the office are adopting a similar precautionary measure in relation to the lodgement of your BAS returns.... As such, we will be conducting all BAS preparation meetings and interactions over email and/or telephone plus through cloud software for those using such programs. Most of you have already lodged your Q2 BAS returns however for those who have not, if you still need us to prepare your BAS return, please respond/get in touch ASAP. Going forward, we will be back in touch shortly in relation to your Q3 BAS at which time we will advise any updates. Apologies for any inconvenience and we hope you understand our reasoning. 25.01.2022 Just a reminder, your Q3 BAS 2018-2019 is due for lodgement by 29 April, 2019. As your Tax Agent, I have an additional two weeks for us to lodge your return and for you to pay your GST/PAYG amounts without penalty Monday 13 May, 2019. Nevertheless, if you have a BAS to lodge, please send me your details/spreadsheets/bank statements ASAP.

17.01.2022 Please be aware of a recent tax scam method where scammers have been impersonating the ATO and tax agents. Please be aware the ATO will never call you demanding immediate payment, especially not via Bitcoin or gift cards. Furthermore, the ATO will never threaten you with arrest for unpaid debts. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be the ATO or your tax agent, please hang up and call the tax office on 1800 008 540 to verify the call. There's also a link in the below article to report any scam calls.

14.01.2022 If you lost vital documents such as your car registration or birth certificate in the recent bushfires, Service NSW are offering to help replace these, free of charge.
