25.01.2022 We are so thankful for all the appreciation shared with us today, we cannot thank you enough for the thoughtful gifts! THANK YOU!! Your kind messages has created an amazing display in our staff room to remind each and every educator, what they do each day is appreciated by you all and is not going unnoticed. As early childhood educators we already have one very obvious point of connection with each family member - their child. A sense of belonging and welcome is essential ...if families are to feel comfortable being in our service. If families feel happy and welcome then children will too. It is through day-to-day relationships with family members that we build the foundation for successful partnerships. When we show a genuine interest in getting to know each child and their family as individuals we create a sense of belonging and of partnerships that last. See more

20.01.2022 Science Week - Day 4 Even the very simplest activities can introduce children to scientific concepts and stimulate scientific thinking. Early years science education can provide a strong foundation in terms of both what is learned, and how its learned, that will stand them in good stead. By encouraging and directing their natural curiosity, and familiarising them with basic scientific vocabulary, early years educators can help children begin to make sense of the world around them, and gain some understanding of how things work.
