19.01.2022 After brushing, we recommend spitting out toothpaste, but NOT rinsing. Toothpaste contains fluoride which helps to heal the teeth from sugars and acids. If your child does not yet know how to spit properly, make sure you are using a small rice grain sized amount of toothpaste.

19.01.2022 To our valued patients, we care deeply about your health and well-being. We have been closely following updates on recommendations from the Australian Government Health Department. In addition to following the usual Standard Precautions, we are implementing some changes to ensure the safety of our patients as well as our team members. All toys and magazines will be removed from the lounge. All high touch surfaces in common areas will be disinfected routinely throughout the ...day. Upon arrival, you will be asked to sanitize your hands. You will also be asked about any recent travels or that of any family members/co-inhabitants. We will take your temperature as well. If it makes you more comfortable to wait in your car, you have the option of calling us to alert us of your arrival. We will call you to come to operatory once it is ready for you. Once you have been brought to your operatory, you will be given a pre-procedural rinse to be used prior to beginning your treatment. We ask that only well patients and necessary caregivers present for appointed procedures. As such, we will reschedule any appointments as needed due to fever, coughing, sneezing or even as a result of the school closures. Thank you for your understanding as we try to do our part to flatten the curve. Stay safe and Be well!

19.01.2022 As the school is beginning, its time to start thinking about a healthy back to school routine. Tooth decay is preventable, but continues to be the most chronic disease in children. Start your childs school time with these helpful tips. 1. See the Dentist regularly- every 6 months... 2. Create Healthy Habits- Make sure your child is brushing 2 times a day 3. Dont eat straight after brushing teeth 4. Develop good habits- spit toothpaste, no rinsing after brushing teeth 5. Encourage healthy eating. Tooth friendly snacks include fruit, string cheese, vegetables, unsweetened applesauce and nuts. Avoid sticky foods, such as candy, fruit roll ups, and granola bars. These foods stick to teeth surfaces and cause decay. 6. Avoid snacking in between meals 7. Drink plenty of water 8. Ask About Sealants- Dental sealants can also protect your childrens teeth from cavities. Sealants, which are applied to the chewing surfaces of molars, act as a shield between the tooth and harmful bacteria. Finally, make an appointment for your childs visit every six months for a check-up and routine cleaning! Call us today to schedule next dental check-up!
