19.01.2022 And the Shakespearean drama continues... William would be proud.. YES! The rumours are true! The Tasmanian feature film ‘Macbeth 1040AD’ will soon be released, in its entirety, for global viewing. With the film’s score, by The Church frontman Steve Kilbey, nearly complete, our Cast & Crew Screening Event will be a date to circle on your calendar. The final cut is a visual feast; great cinematography, editing and action, it’s a slick medieval drama, independently produced wi...th a small core team, a smaller budget, with the assistance and belief of the Tasmanian people. Incredible. Thank you. This film proudly showcase the impressive skills of our local talent, in things medieval and not; life-like castles, villages & severed heads crafted in miniature, towering life-size wooden constructions and facades, historically accurate, real-life fight arranging and weaponry, professional prosthetics, make-up, vocal coaching, the commitment & ability of Tasmanian actors and performers. The 2 hour feature will entertain you with supernatural horror, raucous feasting, murderous acts and more than a little insanity So, the screening finish line is a short sprint away, and then onto Cannes! With a stop over at BOFA 2017. For those heading to BOFA 2016, the event looks A-MAZING! ..drive safe & have an awesome time :)
05.01.2022 Brian says hello He also said Macbeth is basically finished and there are just small ttweaks to the soundtrack and colour grading to go. The film is sitting with Screen Tasmania and a request for a small amount of funding which would support a cinema release.... Assuming all goes well. Macbeth would be the first fully Tasmanian film to gain a cinema release in around 35 years.
