19.01.2022 Our profiling of local businesses involved in this year's Gift Shop continues.... The Old Auction House giftshop has been filling the Macedon Ranges with the best of Australian Handmade and quality craft supplies for the last 3 years! With over 100 small makers from all over Australia, they are sure to have the perfect gift for you or your special someone. The precinct also runs School Holiday Craft Workshops and Parties for kids aged 7-16. Session gift vouchers are avaliabl...e, sessions usually run for 2 hours at $30 a child where they teach them a specific set of skills to create a chosen project in each session. Using artist-grade supplies in the sessions, they believe in teaching kids to respect their supplies and that you create art and craft to treasure and last! 18.01.2022 So 2020 has seen a lot of ‘thinking outside the box’. Today we did this! Gift vouchers and gift bags via drive through. Thank you everyone for your wonderful support! We are so proud to be able to support our local families again in our 11th year. This time we proudly supported our local business partners as well. An automotive spare parts and accessories store that has been operating for 32 years in the Macedon Ranges. A family owned business employing local staff and supporting local community groups. Autopro stock many products that make gifts for the car lover. Autopro are also a Jaycar stockist. Which means they carry many electronic and computer accessories. From home security to weather s...tations. At Christmas they have a great range of educational toys and a fantastic range of remote-controlled toys. 15.01.2022 We've got a real page turner for our next Gift Shop business - Squishy Minnie is a children and young-people’s independent bookstore celebrating creativity, community & the wonders of reading! Located at 6 High Street, Kyneton, the store is open 10.00am-4.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday or on Sunday by appointment via the following link (https://www.squishyminnie.com.au/in-store-browsing/). The bookshop is the childhood dream of Kristen, who as a 12 year old deci...ded that eventually, when she got old, she would open a bookstore. She’s not quite old yet (although her 12 year self may argue with that), but the time seemed ripe to give this bookshop business a go. It seemed appropriate, as a kind of tribute to 12 year old Kristen that the bookshop has a focus on children and young adult books. The goal of Squishy Minnie is to be a part of the community and to offer something unique to the Macedon Ranges, a way to complement what is already here (many wonderful book shops and libraries!). With their Grand Opening scheduled for Saturday 28 November, customers can choose to shop locally, knowing they are also supporting local artists and producers of quality handmade, handcrafted wares. Great for Christmas gifts! The shop will be open 6 days a week 9.30-5.00pm Tuesday through Saturday and Sundays from 10.30am 2.30pm. 05.01.2022 Tonight we start our features on the businesses who are involved in this year's Macedon Ranges Gift Shop! This evening we'd like to introduce Mini Maestros Macedon Ranges. Mini Maestros offers music classes to children aged from 6 months to five years. Their program is a sequential program that includes playing percussion instruments, dancing, puppets, props and music games. The class size is limited to 10 children (less with social distancing), and all of their activities h...ave been amended to be offered in line with their COVID Safe plan. Class times for each age group are available Wednesday through Saturday from 9.00am - 1.00pm.
