25.01.2022 Great day out in the Tigermoth today if you don’t know the baitfish are out there with the mackerel in hot pursuit I think you could catch of any of the beaches but be aware the sharks are amongst them

C.Y.A has had a few test flights the last few weeks and is ready to go .We hope to have both in the air on Saturday for our regular ANZAC flights . 23.01.2022 A perfect way for veteran pilot Peter Arnold to celebrate his 90th today with a nostalgic flight over the beaches and harbour with Ross R this morning. Here he is back on earth with volunteer pilot Peter. What a privilege for us all to take part! Peter Arnold was one of the Museums Tiger Moth pilots and mechanic - for many years, a foundation member and now a life member of the Museum (President Ross remembers his first joy flight with Peter a looong time ago!). It was a real family affair, most of the family turned up to remember childhood days helping with maintenance and odd jobs. Peters son Chris is still at it he applied the latest coat of distinctive yellow paint on our lovely old machine.

22.01.2022 Hi All . The last two weekends have been great flying for five passengers . With Peter C as Pilot Michael enjoyed a hour flight and Kevin a 30 minute fly the weekend before Jim and Sam doing the ground work . This weekend we had Riley , Luke and Shrah have 30 minute flights with Max C as pilot of the day , Stewart and number of the Tiger crew doing the ground work . All Passengers and crew with great smiles after each days flights , hope to catch up with you with next weekends flights . Tiger Moth Museum wish you all a safe week .

22.01.2022 Hi All , Wow-weee what a big Sunday last weekend , 8 flights in the morning before lunch . First we had Emily with Max in CYA and Julie in IVN with Peter flying at the same time , the next double flight Diane with Max in CYA & Jo with Peter in IVN All smiles before and after flight. Ken enjoying his 90 th birthday fly was next up for a 60 Minute flight with Peter in IVN Could not get a bigger smile when stepping out . Going at about the same Hugh did a 30 Min fly with Max ...in CYA . The last couple to fly was Andrea in CYA with Max & David in IVN with Peter , Both visiting from down south , started to get a bit bumpy with the weather turning . Ground crew for the weekend was Dylan F and Ross M , Bill giving a hand with the passengers . With the warmer weather CYA decided not to start easy all morning giving us a hard time . Radio call signs for the two Air craft are C-Charlie Y-Yankee A-Alpha for Red and Cream . I-India V-Victor N-November Yellow Air Craft . 21.01.2022 Sentimental farewell Greg and Barb Christensen took to the sky together at the weekend to say goodbye to Mackay as they head for a new life down south. Greg was a founder of the Tiger Moth Museum and a very busy pilot during our boom years....and put countless hours of his time developing the Museum and looking after its precious aeroplanes. Barbara has been a faithful supporter too (did she have a choice?). We are sad to see them go but all the crew, past and present, say a huge thank you and wish them the very best.

19.01.2022 Hi All . Last Saturday we had to cancel two early flights with rain and strong winds , later Arthur went up with Peter for a 60 minute windy fly. All smiles on return . Sunday weather a bit better we had William doing a one hour flight first up, Chris and Phil doing 30 minute flying time in CYA with Peter C Pilot and Ross M, Dylan F and Bill keeping things moving as the Ground Crews . 18.01.2022 Hi All . We are still going strong , over two days flying we had 6 more flights . First up for a twin flight , Brad in IVN with Ross and Kim in CYA with Peter doing 30 minute cruising around . Ross being the Pilot for the next four flights we had Andrew then Peter for a 60 minute fly next David a 30 min trip and last one for the was Ed enjoying 60 Minute cruise around the Mackay district all in IVN . With the Weather starting to turn a bit we have had to get most of the flights done in the morning as the wind and rain start getting up about mid day . From the Tiger Moth crew have a great Week , looking to next wright up yours Rossco .

18.01.2022 Meet the crew this Saturday 26th Sept Our AGM is on Saturday at the hangar at 11am and we are having a casual BBQ for our members and friends from 12 noon. If you are interested in helping us keep our beautiful old machines flying, and sharing the excitement felt by our joy flight passengers, come along and meet the crew from 12pm - no appointment necessary!

16.01.2022 Hi All . We have been flying a few couples flights with the two Tiger Moths at the same time , Lisa flying with Max in CYA and Darryn with Ross R in IVN , So cool seeing them out flying together with couples . On the same day we had Peter Arnold Celebrating his 90 th birthday with us and family last Wednesday with Ross R piloting. Peter was one of the founders when the group started in 1974 piloting and ground crewing . I Ross M took my first flight in IVN with Peter Arnold for my 50 th in 1996 This flight inspired me to get my Pilots license and im still here enjoying ground crewing . great to catch up with the ol crews Cheers to you all from the Tiger moth crew .

16.01.2022 Hi All. A year has passed since the last Tiger Moth Museum AGM, Last Saturday was this year's AGM with most of the Crew keeping their same elected positions for the year 20/21 . After being with the Tiger Moth crew for the last 20 years Carol Ward has retired. Past President Stewart Garnham made a presentation to Carol Ward for her years as promotions officer. Thanks again for your dedication and hard work as a Volunteer over the years, you will be greatly missed. The medallion was crafted by Stewart from part of a wooden Tiger Moth propeller, beautiful craftsmanship by Stewart again, many thanks from us for it . All duties out of the way, Max arranged the BBQ and Sam volunteered to do the cooking duties. Great catch for the crew and visitors. We look to having a better year in 20/21

14.01.2022 Hi All , Last weekend we had four passengers enjoying great weather flying in CYA . First up was Cory for a half hour flight then Doug having a hour fly up the valley and around .Ben having the last flight for Saturday with Ross R being the Pilot of the Day . On Sunday we had Brendon up with Ross R having a half hour flight IN IVN , ground crew for the weekend was Sam and Jim .

04.01.2022 Hi All . We have given great joy to four more passengers last weekend. Saturday Paul was up first with Max in CYA for a 30 min flight. Then Ben was flying with Max in CYA and Jennifer in IVN with Peter as Pilot flying at the same time for 60 minutes. On Sunday Steven went in CYA with Max for a 30 minute flight, all had big smiles and were very pleased they have had the flights. Stewart was doing the ground crew duties for the weekend. Ground Crew for the Day was Bob & Ross M .Dyan haveing a day off for his Birthday Able to drive on his own now . The Half hour Flight normality go to Shoal Point across up to Walkerston then back to the Air port following the river this flight covers most of our area of Mackay
