Starting her dental career with Doctor Sudhir in 2012, she has gained experience in all areas of the practice. She has a warm and loving personality that provides patients with ease to feel safe and secure at their appointments. 16.01.2022 Ever wonder why we need to take x-rays? X-rays are used for multiple reasons in the dental chair! Most common x-rays are known are, Periapical (PA), Bitewings (as pictured below) and an OPG.... Dentist use X-rays to check between the teeth (where we can't see clinically!) Check for decay (germs!) under fillings done previously. To check weather there is an infection at the tip of the root. An x-ray will confirm the degree of bone loss that there may be? Have you had your dental x-rays updated yet??

14.01.2022 WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT US EVERY 6 MONTHS? Seeing us every 6 months can help prevent gum disease, plaque and tooth decay. We can help improve your smile and can save you cash because we are getting to the problem early! What happens in a dental check-up?... Firstly, we will start with our clinical examination. We will check the soft tissues and each quadrant of the mouth, then we will look for plaque build- up. The dentist may choose to take small x-rays of either side of your jaw, these are called Bitewings. They are used to check for decay between the teeth that we cannot see with the naked eye. Bitewing x-rays are usually updated every 2 years. The dentist will then continue on to do an ultrasonic scaling. The vibration helps break off calculus that has built up on the enamel surface. Polishing is the next step! A gritty paste is used to help lift any surface stains you may have. Our final step is to have a fluoride foam placed into the mouth. This will sit for about a minute and will help re-mineralise and strengthen the teeth. It will also help in preventing early decay. Its advised to not eat, rinse or drink for half an hour afterwards to help the teeth absorb the foam. What should I do between visits? Brush twice daily! Once in the morning and once before bed. Make sure to use a toothpaste that contains fluoride and to avoid any whitening as its abrasive to the tooth enamel. Always floss daily, and try to avoid sugary drinks. Finding flossing difficult? You can purchase products like piksters or interdental brushes. How do I go about making an appointment? 10.01.2022 MEET OUR TEAM Sheri started with us early march after moving from her home town Brisbane to be closer with her partner, she has 2 years experience as a dental assistant and enjoys the fast paced, hands on components of her role. She thoroughly enjoys fabricating lab work such as mouthguards, splints, retainers ect and is currently completing a Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics through the University of Canberra. In her spare time, Sheri enjoys going to the gym, spending t...ime with her family, friends and her partner Hayden. She is a huge ice hockey fan and is a self-confessed shop-a-holic. We say yes they are, although they are around $1400 they stop any further damage happening to teeth or replace any old filling that continuously fall out . Best part is they last you years.
