I joined Toastmasters because my brother paid for my course as a gift. This was back in 2006 and Ive stayed since that since I get so much value and practice from it. 2) How it helped him so far with professional or personal life? After knowing about the Toastmaster organisation for many years, I finally mustered the courage to visit the Botany Bay Toastmasters Club in 2010 I have never left Toastmasters! I joined because I had received feedback that I was engaging speaker and I thought I was pretty good. I was very wrong! I always wanted to improve my communication skills. The ways I knew were by watching videos and by practice. ... But as soon as I came to know that an organisation exists for this purpose, I joined immediately. I was astonished with the multicultural aspect of the group, and the appreciation and encouragement I received which made me feel immensely good about myself. I love it and want to continue being a Toastmaster. 2) How Toastmasters helped her so far ? It boosted my self confidence to express my thoughts and communicate in the right way. It gave me courage to speak in front of a group of people without hesitation. Andrew Ko with great speech on our communication style and how best to speak to others understanding their own style of communication... Jawad Shinwari with very inspiring speech on importance of dreams and what it takes to achieve them through his personal account. Great job Jawad.
