25.01.2022 SS House student leaders 2021 Congratulations to the newly elected House Captains and Vice-captains that were formally badged at the Friday Leadership Chapel ceremony. The new 2021 Sports Captains were also named, they are Brooke R and Thomas S.

24.01.2022 COVID Sports Update The HRIS Committee met this week to discuss the latest updates from CIS and AICES in relation to HRIS and its impact on representative sports for the remainder of Term 2 and into Term 3. Basically, there will be no competitive Term 3 sports as the lead-up events that need to occur at schools and at regional competitions prior, have all been missed. ... So, no HRIS, AICES, CIS or PSSA Athletics for 2020, however, the NSW All Schools Athletics competition for Secondary will still go ahead and students can nominate directly to compete - it is held Thu 24 Sep - Sun 27 Sep, the last week of Term 3. Contact Mr Martin for details. Secondary 15s basketball and football is lost, as is Primary basketball. There may be Term 3 trials for HRIS 15s basketball for AICES in Term 4, but it is not likely as this is not a pathway sport. On a positive note, Term 4 is looking good and we will start selecting and training teams in Term 3 for SS Touch, Softball, T20 Cricket and 15s Tennis, along with JS teams for Tennis and Cricket.

24.01.2022 SS Sport - Cross Country At 8.30am this morning, the Year 7 boys headed out on their first lap of the MC Cross Country, five months late. Throughout the day they were followed by each of the SS grades as they each completed either a 3 or 4 km course. There were, as always some fantastic results and amazing times, and we will have Age Champions and Runners-Up plus a champion House, which we never would have dreamed of five months ago. JS and PS is tomorrow, Thursday, but in the meantime a few pics from our MC Marketing department for the parents that would have loved to have attended the SS event today.

24.01.2022 SS News Congratulations to Dannikah P and Layla S-H (Yr 9) on their awesome club netball results this year. The girls team, BNC, went undefeated for the season and won the grand final. Both girls have now been selected in the U17s representative squad for Callahan District Netball Association. Well done girls! (The girls are pictured with their teammates, back row, 3rd and 4th on the left)

23.01.2022 A message from our MC Sports Captains...

22.01.2022 JS Sport - Football Huge congratulations to Alex J & Daniel C who have just been selected onto the HRIS Football team for 2020. The boys will be heading down to Blacktown Football Park, on April 8 to compete against other independent schools associations around NSW to hopefully make selection on the CIS Football team. We are very proud of your achievements boys and wish you all the very best as you head down to Sydney. We know you will do an awesome job. Well done boys!

22.01.2022 Sport - A COVID19 update There is no real improvement in the immediate future for representative sports returning for schools. The current position for the remainder of Term 2 is the cancellation of all HRIS, AICES, CIS, PSSA and NSW All-schools competitions. The HRIS Heads of the 17 schools also met recently and confirmed that all representative sports for Term 3 are also cancelled at this stage. At this point, it rules out JS and SS Cross Country, JS and SS Athletics, JS and SS Netball, SS Football and JS and SS Basketball. And so we wait, hopeful for Term 4... Until then, stay fit and keep well.

21.01.2022 SS Sport Cancellation - Football I have just received notice that the Bill Turner Cup matches for U15 Boys and the Bill Turner Trophy matches for U15 Girls have been cancelled for 2020. Disappointing, but understandable in the current circumstances, for all those students that had just finished trialling for our MC teams just three weeks ago.

21.01.2022 Seven weeks of swimming lessons got underway last week at Lambton Pool for all JS students, Kindy to Year 6. Here at MC we believe so strongly in water safety that we schedule learn to swim classes every year up to, and including, Year 7.
