10.01.2022 We are delighted to give June MAD (Making a Difference) Award to our MACS Bella Chara resident Jim Hoekstra for his wonderful contribution over the years to MACS. Whilst we continue in lockdown, Jim, a keen bingo player, has been keeping fellow residents entertained by acting as the bingo ‘caller’ 3 days a week. Thanks Jim! Our aim for these awards is to recognise someone that demonstrates the MACS values on a day to day basis and excels in what they do.
09.01.2022 We are thrilled to give our MAD (‘Making a Difference’) award to Jenny Fry from our Home Services team for her wonderful contribution to MACS over the years. This was what one of our home care consumers had to say about Jenny: Jenny is a good friend and I look forward to her visits every week. She is flexible, always willing to help me with anything that I ask her. She is a great cook and helps me to prepare meals so that I can continue to host some of my family in my home ...for a meal. I love her vegetable lasagne and meat loaf. Congratulations Jenny!
09.01.2022 We are delighted to give August MAD (Making a Difference) Award to Renu Negi for her wonderful contribution over the years to MACS. During the Practice COVID drill, Renu really stepped up! Her calming influence and efficiency helped the residents feel like they were safe and in good hands and her upbeat attitude made the residents laugh along the way. Congratulations Renu!

08.01.2022 What a fantastic way to end the week! Following many months of due diligence, we are thrilled to announce that two of the Geelong region’s largest and longest serving multicultural organisations - Diversitat and MACS are officially joining forces in a merger that was ratified and approved this week! Both parties voted in favour this week of the proposed merger, reaching a unanimous decision.... This new merger helps multicultural community services to grow in size, scale and impact. We raise our glasses and celebrate this monumental occasion and cheers to an exciting journey ahead!
