17.01.2022 Youth minister Martin from Yagoona & Condell Park Anglican has started a new Zoom growth group after church for youth members. After noticing that their youth (years 6+) were benefiting from the church sermons, Martin developed an acronym (PRTAM) to help his youth prepare to listen well, which includes: PRAY - for the preacher, for our own hearts READ - the passage before church and at church TAKE NOTES - on the passage before church, at church, during bible reading and serm...on ACTIVELY LISTEN - to the sermon MEET - together afterwards to discuss "It helps us to keep our understanding of God and how he speaks at the forefront. I think it's been helpful for them to crystallise what they heard from the bible readings and sermons, and hone in on the how the application means for them," Martin shares. _____ Join Youthworks as we thank God for the ongoing work of our youth and children's ministries during COVID-19. #ministrysnapshots

16.01.2022 After four years as director of Year 13 Gap Year, Michael Williamson is stepping down in 2021 to become the rector of Bulli Anglican: a church that’s been without a senior minister for more than a year. This news is bittersweet for the Youthworks family. If you've done Year 13 under Michael's leadership, you know what an outstanding discipler of young adults he is and understand why we'll miss his godliness and creativity.... But we’re also able to celebrate with Bulli Anglican Church because we know Michael’s not so much leaving Youthworks as extending its vision for effective ministry to young people through the local church in an area that is exploding with youth and children. Youthworks College is beginning the process of looking for a new director to lead the program. Michael, and the rest of the team, will be on hand to help the new director and incoming students make a confident start to 2021. Please join us in praying for Michael as he completes his ministry at Year 13 and looks forward to serving God’s mission in the Illawarra.
