23.01.2022 New colours in the Paola Mug now available on my online store. There are super limited numbers of these. I’m pretty in love with how they look together tbh! Always an element of surprise when I get new batches of glaze out of the firing, and I was so stoked to see these colours when I opened the door!!

23.01.2022 This is the finished tea caddy from the progress shot I put up a couple of days ago. Love the clean lines and curves, and the simplicity of the white glaze on the rustic clay body. The lid is an exceptionally good fit which makes me do a happy little dance inside!

Unfortunately we will be heading into lock down for the next 6 days, which means I won’t have access to my studio, and won’t be able to work on or ship any orders in that time. 22.01.2022 Trimming and finishing off a little pot plant I made yesterday. After using my looped trimming tool to create a foot in the base of the pot, I use a hole maker to put the drainage hole in, and then clean off the frillies and sponge

16.01.2022 This is a commission from a dear friend, who had a coffee cup she loved the size and the shape of, but not so much the corporate branding. I’ve hand made a pair of mugs based on the proportions and design of the original mug. They look huge at the moment but they’ll shrink down to the same size when they’re done.

16.01.2022 I’ve just delivered these very cute tumblers to @stirlingcandp. They feel lovely to hold, and they’re the perfect size for a small coffee. These aren’t stocked anywhere else, so if you like the look of them, you’ll have to head up to Stirling, and you’ll probably have to get a coffee and a pastry too!!

12.01.2022 New bottle vases in mini size! These are coming soon to my online store, and even sooner to @hernamewasnola. These dinky little guys are great for small posies, and have a carved exterior for a textural feel.

11.01.2022 Throwing a big mixing bowl today. This was made with 5kg of clay. For me, throwing on a larger scale takes more patience and a bit more strategy in how I use my body to support my arms to give me more strength to centre the clay and pull up the walls.

11.01.2022 Working on a little commission for a friend, happy to be revisiting this shape! Each time I make the same shape, I make little tweaks that improve the shape of the body or handles or how heavy the piece is. This will go in the bisque later in the week

10.01.2022 A pair of Paola mugs I pulled out of the glaze kiln recently. I’m a huge fan of sets of mugs all in different colours. These two have made their way down to @hernamewasnola so head down there to have a hold and see how they feel in your hand

10.01.2022 I spent the day playing with new bottle vase ideas in different shapes and sizes. Bottles are typically a bit of a bitch to throw but I’m pleased with the height of the tall ones and I’m excited to get carving tomorrow when they are leather hard!

10.01.2022 Brand new little espresso cups (or babycino cups) that I knocked out today. I think these are going to look so cute when I glaze them in white! So teeny tiny and adorable!!

08.01.2022 Trimming a vase with a narrow opening. These aren’t very stable so I’m using another cup as a chuck, to support the vase.

04.01.2022 Big bowls waiting to dry - the bowl on the left was made with 2.5 kg of clay, and the one on the right was 3kg. They’ll both be serving bowls, and I think I might get creative with the glazes on these guys.
