22.01.2022 Some masks I made for the lovely Hadley from the amazing @auslan_otd . Mask wearing has resulted in large communication barriers for many of the deaf and HoH community, which is particularly distressing when dealing with the police. Deaf and HoH people are in much more danger of being incarcerated when questioned by the police, in particular BIPOC members of the community. Hadley and her partner asked me to make these masks as a way to assist with these distressing situatio...ns, and I’d like to make sure I can offer them to other members of the deaf and HoH community. I’ll be having these masks on offer on my Etsy page and can change the wording to include anything tailored to your specific needs whether it be hard of hearing or any speech impediments as well. 50% of all masks will be donated to the Deaf Aboriginal Services ti assist with the awesome work they’re doing. If you can’t afford them, please DM me and we can work something out no questions asked. (I’m sorry I wanted to do a ‘pay what you wish’ but can’t offer that on my Etsy page)

04.01.2022 Here’s a photo my dad took of me from my lounge room window sewing . I’ve literally been sewing masks until midnight every night!
