22.01.2022 At the end of last year, Kaileb enjoyed a three day holiday at the sunny Gold Coast. After working hard to achieve his goals, his mother organised the trip with Magenta support worker, Matt and Will from Carbal as a reward. As you can see, the holiday was packed with sightseeing! Kaileb hopes to make this a yearly trip as he continues to reach all of his goals. Awesome work, Kaileb! Image description: Multiple images. 18.01.2022 Following the changing COVID situation in Queensland today, we want to assure you that your safety remains our highest priority. Please find an update below regarding the delivery of Magenta services. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch with your Team Leader or Area Manager. We are continuing to provide all services at this time. All staff will be using masks when working and increased sanitation measures in place.... All staff who have been in the Greater Brisbane area since 2 January, will not be rostered for the next three days. As a result, there may be some changes to your support and care teams. Due to the evolving situation, all non-essential travel has been cancelled. This unfortunately includes non-medical STAs. If this affects you, your support team will be in touch. Medical-related STAs will continue. Community access activities outside of Greater Brisbane will continue, in a COVID-safe manner, avoiding locations where social distancing cannot be maintained. All visitors to our supported independent living homes must wear a mask and complete the visitor register. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Our team will continue to monitor the developing situation and keep you in the loop with any updates.

16.01.2022 Team Magenta Embraces the Maybo Program In 2020, we have been working on training and upskilling our people. These photos were snapped at a recent Maybo Training session. The Maybo Program is a conflict management and physical intervention course designed for adults. Not only does it aim to reduce risk, but it also promotes positive and safer outcomes for both the people accessing our services and our staff. We look forward to introducing more of our staff to the Maybo Program.

Shining the spotlight on young in kids in care and improving supports for foster teens leaving the system, the event showcased a wide a range of speakers. Together, they spoke about their experiences and highlighted options, struggles and excitement that youn...g people get to experience as they transition. To continue to evolve and grow, we know how vital it is to continue to keep our participants at the heart of all we do. Our focus is and always will be our beautiful participants, which is why we had to hear from them! Here are a few of the beautiful words that some of our participants shared at the Meets. Sue's administrative role is integral in supporting our service delivery. Nice to have you on board, Sue!! Sue kindly shared a little about herself in our April newsletter. Here is what she had to say "I was born and raised in Lismore and love the area. I met my husband while travelling and lived in Denmark for three years ...before returning to Australia to raise our family. Some of my favourite things in life are spending time with family and friends, travelling, cooking, hiking, bush camping and campfires.
