25.01.2022 Today is international volunteers day. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered throughout the year. Without volunteers our events do not take place.

25.01.2022 EVENT INFORMATION Round 6, San Remo RACE SAFE A friendly reminder regarding our social distancing responsibilities for San Remo. Everyone plays a role in... complying with the BMX Covid Safety Plan. Here is what you need to know: -Upon entry to the event, including Saturday practice, you will need to scan a QR code and complete your details. Once you have shown the ‘welcome’ screen to entry point personnel, you will be given a wrist band to wear. This wrist band is relevant only to the block you (or your child) are competing in. No wrist band, no entry. -If you don’t have a device with internet capability, there will be a manual sign on sheet however you must bring your own pen. -If you have been in Victoria within the last 14 days, or a reported case location on the NSW Health website that requires you to isolate for 14 days, you are not permitted entry into the event. Whilst the situation in Victoria has improved, the Covid Safe requirements set by the NSW Government for community sporting competitions have not changed. You can apply for a refund of your entry fee if this applies to you. -If you have any cold or flu symptoms, please stay at home. You can apply for a refund of your entry fee. -With the higher entry numbers, we will be strictly enforcing the one parent/guardian per rider requirement under the Covid Safe plan. This means that if you have a rider in both blocks, the 'non-rider' in that block, will need to wait outside the designated event area until all riders have signed on. Once all riders have signed on for that block of racing, additional spectator spaces will be available on a first come, first served basis, until the event reaches the 500 person capacity permitted under the Covid Safe Plan. Riders over 18 are able to have a support person attend with them, to assist with transport home if injured during racing. BLOCK RACING Practice and racing blocks will occur as per the details in the technical guide. https://tinyurl.com/y3rjv27f Please note the entry times for each block. EVENT PARKING Parking for BMX’ers, with the exception of disabled parking, is not available in the sporting complex. This means that parking is restricted to nearby residential streets so please ensure you respect the local community as you park, and transfer to and from your car to the track. We are required to provide access to a small number of parks for visitors to the skate park (shown on map) as this is a community facility. If you are attending the BMX event and we see you parking in the designated skate park area, you will be required to move your vehicle. TENTS As per the attached map, we have allocated separate areas in the tent section on the top side of the track for Block 1 and Block 2 racing to reduce the crossover between the blocks. Please note: it is not necessary to relocate your tent from Block 1 to Block 2 area if your riders are competing in both blocks; pick a site and remain there. Where possible, please set up your tent up during Saturday's practice blocks to reduce congestion on Sunday. San Remo BMX Club will have security at the venue on Saturday night so your tents should be safe. If you aren’t able to set up until Sunday, you are able to utilise the event drop off/pick up zone to temporarily lay down your equipment, prior to parking your car. As there is only a 45 minutes changeover per blocks on Sunday, we seek assistance of those leaving after Block 1 to pack up their tents ASAP after racing has concluded (or before if you are able) so you can make your way out of the venue in a timely manner. Only 3x3m tents are permitted inside the designated event area. Social distancing requirements of 1 person per 4m2 must be maintained under the tents, excluding occupants of the same household. DOGS - for safety reasons, dogs are not permitted at the event (excluding guide and assistance dogs). SMOKING - BMX is a non smoking event. Please proceed outside the designated event area if you wish to smoke.

01.01.2022 Sometime after we closed the track last night , some lovely community members decided it would be a great idea to drive a car on the track. This has caused damage to the track and surrounds. If anyone has any information please let the club or the police know .... Please share this post around so hopefully we find who did this.
