20.01.2022 An oppurtunity has arisen! We now have another Camel Race scheduled for 4.45pm Saturday and will need another 5 Jcokeys! Secure your spot for just $50! First 5 to reply gets the rides.... The welfare of the rider and camel are of paramount importance to the Show Committee. If circumstances arise where the safety of the rider or camel could be compromised, the organizers reserve the right to deem the rider ineligible. Should this occur a full refund of the entry fee will be made. All jockeys ride at their own risk, need to be over 18 and will have to sign a waiver.
19.01.2022 Preparations for the 160th Maitland Show 19-20-21 February 2021 are now being ramped up. The Show will be a big celebration of resilience for the Maitland community.

09.01.2022 The markets are back this Sunday. 114 stallholders have booked in, many long term and popular stalls will be there. Gates open to the public around 8.45am for parking on the Showground. This month the maitland swimming club and maitland lions clubs are our sponsored community organizations. $2 parking fee with funds going to maitland swimming club and the show association for the restoration of Showground facilities. Entry into the markets is a gold coin donation to the maitland lions club. Covid QR checkin is compulsory under current NSW requirements. Social distancing is also a requirement. Our food court has 10 options for morning tea and lunch. The Morgan, Willard and Macdonald pavilions will be open with a variety of stalls. Come along 9am to 2 pm and support our stallholders.

04.01.2022 On behalf of the Maitland Show Society we would like to congratulate our 2019 Miss Maitland Showgirl Tamieka on a wonderful year and wish her all the best tonight at the Zone 5 finals being held at at Tocal. No matter the outcome we are all very proud of you. This will be Tamieka's last official duty as Miss Maitland before handing the duties over to the 2020 Miss Maitland Showgirl which will be presented at the Grand Opening of our show on the 14th of February
03.01.2022 We will be busy this week preparing our application which is due to be lodged by Friday. Thanks to the NSW Government for this opportunity to fund some much needed repairs and maintenance projects around the Showground.

03.01.2022 Our first maitland community markets are over. Thank you to the 116 wonderful stallholders who came. We really appreciate the support of everyone who attended to support our stalls. A special thanks to our show association volunteers who were up very early to manage the bumpin for the stallholders, the maitland swimming club for managing the parking and the maitland lions club should were our charity this month at the gates. We look forward to our next market on 6 June.

02.01.2022 Contrary to reports elsewhere, The markets at Maitland Showground WILL make a return on Sunday 7 March next year with a new market contractor. The show association thanks Hunter Valley Fairs for their hosting the markets since their inception. Its time now to move to an exciting new approach to the markets at the Maitland Showground.
